Hi guys, I was thinking about buying some CytoSport whey protein, but I also want a good multi vitamin. Any suggestions (I'm 14 if it makes a difference)?

I kinda agree excepting for post workout.
I think its fine at that age-especially if youre now training for H.S. sports- to take a post workout shake.
I suggest Dymatize Elite Whey...Im not a supplement hound, but I used my fair share of proteins and its value is/was unmatched. Solid product.
Just mix like 1.5 servings with 12-16 ozs of milk when you get back from lifting/asap after lifting.
I dont think you would need a multi IF you eat well...
Just my 2 cents; GL with your training and stick to the basics like squats/DLs/presses right now to build a good base.

dude, there is no problem with u getting whey protein and a multi @ your age.both are great additions to your diet.Food should be first, but for when you cant get meals then a shake is perfect. a multi will help you get additional nutrients if you cant enough that day etc..Being your 14 im sure your not made of money. So def look into both a multi and whey.
if you are talking test boosters etc then at your age not necessary.i dont get the two above comments at all, imo, they are 100% wrong.
Dont forget they make multis for children! flintstones vitamins??? ..so yeah my point is get whey and a multi =)
-ON Gold Standard is affordable in 5Lb tubs
-Optimen is also affordable and a good basic multi

Dude not every 14 year old can afford to eat like that man. lets be realistic, really!
Lift Heavy? How about lift right proper form and rom,not just lift heavy, not great advice for a 14 year old. Especially when he knows nothing.
At OP,learn how to lift and lift right.Strength will naturally come.Learn about routines and what works best for you.
"its not about what you lift but how you lift" your body doesnt know weight but knows what you are doing to it. yes OP lifting heavy is a must but that comes with expierience and being safe..
Yes OP get a multi, its great for anyone at any age.
oh yeah and I just purchased LCLT & Creatine by Allmax just 2 days ago =)...And Flintstone vitamins are delicious. and i wasnt advise he take Flitnstones vits, lol, but point was multiis are used for ppl all ages and is beneficial.

Supplements are intended for individuals over the age of 18, as explicitly stated on the packaging of each product.
At age 14, the OP should be concerned with his diet, workout routine, and adequate rest and recovery time...not supplementation.
Also, regular multivitamins and protein supplements are completely unnecessary if your diet is on point.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

I hardly consider multis supplementation,lol.
and yes, well intead of just reading MY ONE POST there to try n so prove me wrong, read my first....as i say in post #5
"Food should be first, but for when you cant get meals then a shake is perfect. a multi will help you get additional nutrients if you cant enough that day etc.."
open your eyes and dont be so quick to jump the gun and prove ppl wrong, but if it makes you feel better about yourself, then good for you =)
so again OP,get a multi its good for anyone at any age..you ppl act like im advising he take prohormones or gear. adding a multi is a great thing for anyone. Not everyone can eat exactly what they need every single day and at the amounts of food and money, its not easy.

Thanks for the replies guys...
Anyways, I have trouble getting a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight, and at any age shouldn't that be the goal? Also, I've been lifting for a few months and I've gotten results, but it seems my lifts keep peeking and I'm only getting about 80% of the protein to bodyweight ratio, so I thought that could be the reason.
I'd honestly prefer not to have to take whey and stuff, but It's hard for me to hit the above otherwise.
The multivitamins just there because I feel like trying it out, and I'll be spending my money anyways.

Wait, so if he eats well he doesn't need a multi, but still needs a post workout shake?
If he eats well, he doesn't need any supplements. Post-workout shakes are unnecessary, food is fine, nothing is fine if he's eating well throughout the day.
OP, 1 gram per lbs of lean body mass is fine, hell .8 should be enough. Just eat like crazy, you'll be fine.
