Was just watching some of this show. One of the people profiled (age 27) works for his father picking up trash from rental homes and helping operate the family-owned bus that caters to college students going downtown etc. In the preface, he was briefly shown wearing a gray bodybuilding.com beanie. Doesn't look like it is available in the store anymore. Later on, he had a graphic shirt with "Dymatize Nutrition" boldly written in the center. Both the word Bodybuilding.com and Dymatize Nutrition were clearly visible to viewers.
Furthermore, he was at a bar/restaurant with his Dad eating what looked like clam chowder while wearing an Ed Hardy shirt.....
Some big-time national TV (MTV...) publicity for bb.com and Dymatize. Congrats! Millions of teenagers/young males (potential customers) around the world likely saw this.

Never seen it on TV... every once in awhile see somebody with a bb.com shirt in the gym.
Never seen anyone with a Dymatize shirt either; other then the bber's etc. they sponsor. Might be one of biggest protein companies in the world but they aren't a household name... yet. Cytosport, the makers of "Muscle Milk" probably have more brand recognition as well as BSN, MuscleTech, Optimum and others. A lot of it is marketing and those other companies; historically have done a much better job at it.
I don't really buy Cytosport stuff much but they seem to market themselves well. I was at a Stanford basketball last year and they ran a promo during the game which I thought was neat. They are located in the Bay Area; east of SF and Oakland.

Gaspari probably got a ton of sales because of that. Not only was a Myofusion tub on the show; people probably ask what supplements The Sitch takes on the internet etc. That combined with the product plug (which millions of people saw I bet) will surely help sales. By how much; who knows. Some of these young kids see him pulling girls and what not and wanna know his routine and what he takes. If that leads them to Gaspari; it's a windfall.
Well it's true most people watching will have no idea what Dymatize is. Whether it's a clothing company etc. But there are people who do know; and there are some who will try to find out. Brock Lesnar is sponsored by Dymatize and wears the logo on his short in the octagon etc. A lot of UFC fans probably have no idea even then. But they might try to find out. Same thing here; on a smaller scale. These "True Life" episodes get replayed for years and years. It's big-time publicity for Dymatize and bb.com and there's no denying that. To be plugged on an MTV show is a very good thing.
Good one
Were they cooler in 2006? I wouldn't know.
Go with Elite Gourmet. It's better and cheaper.

Hey Lugie. Saw your Dolphins just named Tannehill the starter. Probably gonna be a long season for you bro... but hopefully the experience pays off in the future.
