got mono guys. feelsbadman. gotta take a 3-5 week break from lifting or my spleen will rupture :/ making great progress too so this sucks.
ive been lean bulking and gradually upping my cals (gained 5lbs in 4 months). right now im at exactly 3000. how should i change this while not lifting to try to maintain muscle? anything i can do physically to maintain? i was thinking light circuit training once a week with arms every 3rd day or so (inb4 curlbrah, not a curlbrah, arms are less demanding weight wise and prob not gonna rupture my spleen with pressure like squatting would).
any advice at all?

Know that feel brah. Had it a couple months ago, and it blows hard. Luckily the fatigue didn't hit me as hard as some of the stories I've heard. I was actually able to return about 1 week after symptoms disappeared. Just don't go too hard when you return and you should be fine.
Food wise, you'll mostly likely lose weight because of how ****ed up your throat may get. Get a lot of your calories and macros through liquids and such and it will lighten the blow.
Good luck man, it sucks but you'll be back before you know it.You can't force knowledge into a dumbass any more than you can force sight into a blind man.

Don't do anything strenuous, not worth the risk. You'll regain whatever you lose pretty quickly. Just try to keep up your caloric intake.

thanks brahs. but getting in my calories isnt a problem for me. im actually worried about fat gain more than anything. if im bulking at 3000cals currently, how much should i drop them while not lifting to minimize muscle loss and avoid fat gain. i was thinking 2600-2700. seems about right?
