HOLY HELL my mind = BLOWN.
What's your thoughts on this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wichita_Massacre
They apparently didn't feel the need to use weapons against 2 men, and those men obviously just wanted to borrow their stereo..
Our gun laws do NOT allow a 16 year old to own a handgun, you must be 21 years old to purchase such legally. It's pretty unlikely you are going to see a 16 year old running around with a giant shotgun attacking anyone.

Yes. If my life was threatened I would shot and kill the other person. Would you not? Would you really sacrifice your own life to avoid taking another when that other is the one threatening yours?
No one is paranoid here. I own a ton of guns because they are a blast to shoot (pun intended) and I also hunt. They also triple as an object of self defense. Why wouldn't I own one?Best Blog for Personal Finance:

I don't know how to continue a conversation with you, it's like you are in denial that bad things happen to good people or something. That a bad person would never ever try to attack, stab, shoot, murder another human being. Yes, if someone came at me with a knife I would shoot to kill and feel entirely justified and okay with doing such, that person CHOSE to try and attack another person putting them at great risk for bodily harm or death and therefore whatever reaction they get up to and including death is justified.

I'd rather see the reintroduction of cash for guns drives etc in lower-income areas. If as has been mentioned, poverty and a lack of education drives violent crimes, then surely the opportunity to turn your back on violent crime for the cash you once engaged in violent crime to obtain, would be an appealing one.
I'd be more than happy to see check points set up around Chicago. Any effort to reduce violent crime in the city, and particularly the southside where I live, would be a welcome move in my eyes.
Cheap-shot about where I'm from not necessary.
Strong history knowledge.
The second in command of the IRA is now the second in command in our government. Clearly he owned a gun, yet was not slaughtered.

It is because American bros know that they so are many guns out there in the wrong hands, and the wrong hands could easily buy from a store or get their GF to buy for them. they feel like is someone is about to shoot them
that sucks because I dont know that feel. oh no wait thats a good thing. you brahs jelly of relaxed life? come to NZ but leave your guns lol you dont need them.

I like the concept but not the means. What if you shoot the tazer and miss? You're dead because it takes 10 minutes to load another cartridge. Let's say you shoot the tazer and one of the barbs doesn't penetrate the person's skin? What if there is more than one person? What if after you stop shocking them they pull the barbs out and shot and kill you? What if they are out of the range of the tazer shot? I would not trust my life with one.

So in a country where only (ex) soldiers and those working in security are able to obtain weapons and which still has a military draft (so almost everyone is a (ex) soldier) lax gun control works? You don't say.
Most of us don't oppose the right to bear arms of those who are military trained, but of rednecks like the OP or your stereotype American.Het bier zal weer vloeien

Retard foreigner here.
I understand how it'd be literally impossible to get rid of guns over there. There are far too many guns around and people wouldn't go down easily (especially dumb ones). It does suck that so many people get murdered in your country each year though. The mentality of some of your gun owners (gang bangers etc) is absolutely retarded. Not sure how they would fix that. You've already got the most prisoners per capita in the world. It's not like you could increase the penalties in court for this ****.
Mind blown at the mentality that people should kill someone for breaking into their house. Over here people crack the ****s over a guy being shot for attacking police with knives (could have been handled better etc). But I guess we have a higher respect for the citizens lives than the US.
As for your need for the guns to take on your military. LOL. Good luck taking on dat der cell tech army of peace.
Gun control did work in my country though. Low population/low gun ownership other than farmers etc made it pretty easy. It's pretty hard to get your hands on a gun these days.
