Shoot Rocky is a FREAK. I actually am a very bad bencher. A messed up shoulder and forever altered alignment from a broken collar bone assure that. I have just been letting it come up slowly....but I will never be a real good bencher. At least not what I could have been if I have never suffered the injury. (coulda woulda shoulda.....)
Now put me on some deads....and I feel comfortable stepping in the ring with him. Think I got him there.....but at some point you will see a vid of me pulling 600. . Going for 3x bw first. HardNheavy got me fired up to put them back in weekly now! Now that dude is a dead machine!RAW lifts

These videos were recorded a few hours earlier from my chest session today. These were my last sets in my chest workout for today. I really didn't get the reps I wanted, but still not bad IMO. First video has some strenous grunt action going.

I thought it was an impressive OHP, just had to lay down to watch the video, btw I can't go near that low with the screwed up left shoulder. I am lucky to get the bar down to my nose once warmed up.

I felt like a sheep being sheared last night.... though I am not happy with my chest development, I can say that my midsection is starting to look a lot trimmer.

Sometimes. I've always had a weak bench press regardless of how my shoulder is doing.
Most I've even benched is 350 and that was a longgggggg time ago.
When I stopped training at age 35 I could press 315 for 3 reps on a good day, but haven't got back there yet after 2.5 years in the gym.Insta: flexjs

Thanks guys. I am just very excited to see I really did not lose strength on my 8 week cut. During the cut, my strength plummeted. After taking a week off and bumping my cals back up (was at 2400 for 8 weeks), my strength is right back. I was beginning to feel it was always two steps forward, one back.....but looks like the last cut was successful in that I did not lose any strength. Only thing I did lose was 15 unwanted lbs. 205 down to 190.
I know I will get my balls busted for this a little, but I really never felt bench was a strong point for me. It has always been an exercise that I nurse around. I have to work around a bad shoulder and my f'd up alignment of the other one from a broken collar bone. That is why my form is very slow, and deliberate. I cant afford a slip up or injury is inevitable.
Truth be told, in my 20's I never benched at all....(I did not think my shoulder could handle it). I only did dumbell work. Upon returning to the gym as an adult and working out at home, I did not have dumbells that went that high. I was forced to flat bench. I just started slow....and built up over time. I now do it with little worry of my shoulder.... I just keep good form.
Thanks again for the support!RAW lifts
