He who chooses his plan for himself, employs all his faculties. He must use observation to see, reasoning and judgment to foresee, activity to gather materials for decision, discrimination to decide, and when he has decided, firmness and self-control to hold to his deliberate decision.

most people can do 2 minutes because they don't have a good form
it's possible to the plank and feel nothing in your abs so that you can go on for 10 minutes
the problem is tight hip flexor that takes over the abdominal work
when they try to plank with their legs bent taking the hip flexors out of the equation most people can't last more than 40 seconds before the burning sensation becomes unbereable. So they need to build up from there.

PE at our school every year has a fitness test, which includes planks aka bridges. Full marks = a 5 minute plank. Granted not everyone can do that, but I've been able to do 5 minutes each year, to be honest and this is more or less my opinion but sheer will power will keep you up there. Having a strong core damn well helps but when you go 5min + the brain certainly helps

Yes, 2 minutes is damn good for someone who has never done them before.
I maxed out last summer at 5:57 and couldn't drag my arse out of the bed the next day.
I stopped doing them, though, I don't find them very helpful.getting my protein through a venflon 24/7 so i don't go catabolic crew
not gonna make it crew
