When doing deadlifts is it okay to restart on every rep like readjust yourself for every rep. Basically instead of doing 1x5 could you just do 5 singles with 10-15 seconds in between to readjust grip, back angle, shin angle, and take a big belly of air. It seems that after every rep my form deteriorates and by doing it this way it is much easier to maintain form. any advice would be helpfull thanks.

Yeah it is fine to reset just don't take a 5 minute break( obviously im over exaggerating the time, but the point is it is fine)
I wanna be the very best
Like no one ever was
To catch them is my real test
To train them is my cause
I will travel across the land
Searching far and wide
Each Pokemon to understand
The power that's inside

Ditto, my grip starts to go around the 4th or 5th rep and I have to reset.
To OP, congrats on doing deadlifts, not enough people do them. Luckily (or unluckily sometimes) I go to a power lifting/bodybuilding focused gym and I see people doing deadlifts almost every day.“The problem with many hypertrophy-based programs is that they leave out the strength component. You might get bigger as a result of the program, but if you don’t get any stronger you’re still a chump in my book. That’s right, I don’t care how big you are, if you aren’t strong you’re a sham. Having big muscles and no strength is the training equivalent of wearing a strap-on. All show and no go. End of story.” - Jim Wendler

LoL...that has happened to me. I walked in the gym and there were two dudes doing windshield whippers in the squat rack...i waited for them to finish, then was doing my squats...these two skinny dudes asked me how many more I had...told them two more sets...they said OK...we'll curl on the bench.
