I ended up eating better yesterday than I have in weeks, but I'm up a lb today (although I'm got up at 645 this AM) ! LOL .. One gym visit per week sucks! Guess its better than zero! I take my 3 year old home on 7/7. Then life gets back to somewhat normal. Haven't decided what I am going to do yet. I think I'm going to try to shed a few lbs of fat I've put on over the past month once he leaves.
Going to go swimming today again. It's about all the exercise I can get these days.
On the flip side, I may be changing jobs (promotion *fingers crossed*) and my schedule will likely change as well as a result. We'll see about that, though.Aug of 2010 - 330 lbs <--- Never Forget

Can I do a quick survey about everyones' calorie levels? Specifically dudes around 5' 8" and 165-175 pounds looking to lose fat. I'm comfortable doing between 1,500-1,600 a day and I lose easily, but I'm curious about others' experiences.
Fat and weak, but getting better.

Thanks, Skullster! I'm gonna need more of that patience going forward. What's the latest on the chin-ups?
D'oh. Nitro set it up that way so he can get pms from girls on a regular basis.
I was wondering about that myself! You look so lean in that avi.
Yaw!
It's great to see you so motivated.

I was able to work out at home today, finally, so I did a brief light weight cardio circuit using either an 8 lb dumb bell or light ankle weights, and I stayed off my feet for most of it.
I did Russian twists with my feet raised, bicycle kicks and leg raises, and various kickbacks with my feet dangling off the edge of my bed so I wouldn’t put pressure on my left foot. I also did some bridges (held with minimal pulsing), shoulders and biceps while seated, and triceps and back while standing.
I finished up with punching drills, and that soon morphed into dancing from the waist up when certain songs came on the radio.

Spinner dolphins on Saturday. Or so I heard. I couldn't go. BUT, we're paddling several miles tonight in the open ocean, so I'm hopeful. There's a south swell and wind gusts, so we'll see how tough it is, and what creatures want to rise to the surface to see us.
How is it having a three year old for that relatively short time frame? I'd think it would be a rough adjustment for the both of you with only a brief moment of it running smoothly? Good luck on your promotion!
That food looked awesome. I do not like planning like that, but wish I had someone who'd do it for me. lol
Such it up, buttercup. You can do this.
The visual is cracking me up. But way to get in a good workout despite your injury!Kristin "Never mind your failures today...get back on that horse and RIDE!"

not sure if this is interesting to anyone but been logging for almost a year now
and this is the result
Cals is approx and during the week only. Weekends I always aimed to hit maint. though sometimes went over, sometimes under.
Since Jan, cardio has been 30-40 mins per session.
Since logging cals (Jan) I've been aiming for 1g per lb protein and 0.5g per lb fat. Carbs for the rest.
P.s. NOT looking for reps here (you guys already repped me enough!). I'm just a bit of a numbers geek!Last edited by limepickle; 06-25-2012 at 06:57 PM.

Back from vacation and still managed to lose a few pounds. Quite a shock but I'll take it.

PM sent to Nitro. 210lbs. LOL. had a 4200 calorie day yesterday so im not surprised its a little heavy this morning. I am really liking being on a bulk though. Finally getting some lifts going up and my back is slowly improving.
If anyone fancies changing up their arm routine i highly recommend doing the " 6 weeks to sick arms" program on bb.com. I've got a week or so left on it and its been a massive help. Felt my triceps were a bit of a weakness but it's improved them alot for me.
Hope everyone else is doing well and i'll try and be around a bit more for this last month.Nitro's Transformation Thread veteran.

1500-1600!
Damn!
I'm on 2200 during the week, then a bit more at the weekends, about 2400. Protein min 160, fat min 70, then whatever I want with the rest. Doing IF and it makes dieting a lot easier.
I'm upping my calories to 2400 from this week since I'm upping my cardio, ready for a 10k race on the 22nd June and a Super Sprint Spartan Race on the 29th.
I'm at 145lbs this morning, I think I've lost enough, will maintain for a while now but still remain in this thread, it's been a great motivation.
And I'm getting a tattoo on my arm, 3/4 sleeve soon, woo hoo! Will post pictures once I get that done, I didn't have time for pictures this morning, will try tonight - BEFORE dinner :-)1k+

I haven't been here in over a week just due to being busy. I haven't really been eating that well (macro-wise) either, but spent the whole weekend outside and drank lots o water and somehow dropped a pound. Back in the gym today for my 'push' day and felt great! Keep up the good work everyone!
p.s. I'm eating 1900/day, but only losing about .5 lb/week on average. I am however seeing some nice gains in the lifts, so I'm ok with that.Chuck Norris is so fast, he can start a fire by rubbing two ice cubes together.

Cute
Wow. I guess I've been spending too much time on the Nutrition forum. Seems like everyone is eating way less here than I would have anticipated. Good work on the lost fat, everyone! I suppose I'll keep my calories low, then!
Also, feel free to keep the calorie numbers coming. I always love crowdsourcing advice!Fat and weak, but getting better.
