I work at a bar... I hear ya :/
Last week I celebrated 4 bdays and gained a lovely 8lbs of "water" from it. So today I'm finally back at 152 where I started which still sucks but oh well. Tomorrow I'm going to a baseball game with $2 beers... I'm going to try my best to be good...

171 even!
No parties this weekend & lots of work to do outside.
I'm thinking 169's come next weigh in.
I really wanted 165 my memorial day weekend but I took too long settling into my cut & figuring out my cals.
Maybe 166's by month end if I can actually manage to circuit train my body twice a week or get regular dog walks in.

Well I am beginning to realize my goal of 185 by August 1 is a bit ....well impossible. I am really struggling with diet. I don't have a problem getting in the workouts but being hungry all the time leads to binges. The IF diet just doesn't work with my graveyard work schedule. I change eating and sleeping times during my weekends and it makes dieting that much more of a challenge for me. I have been reading up on the keto diet. Seems a little more suited to my eating and sleeping habits. Any thoughts anyone?

229 this am. Down 1lb from yesterday. I consumed a large quantity of protein yesterday via a double-meat subway subfor 80g, a 45g shake, .75lb of chicken breast for 81g and another 52g shake for a nice total of 252g! LOL! Also had 2 scoops of Xtend amino acids in the AM. DOMS down significantly from yesterday (go figure! fed my muscles!). Looking forward to my lunch (.75lb chicken left-overs from last night) but dinner may be a bit sloppy. I'm also hitting a baseball game with $2 beers so we'll see how that goes. Might get rained on. Looking forward to a nice light lift tomorrow morning. I'll up the intensity to compensate for the lower weight and try to get in a few minutes of cardio after my lifting session. Cheers!

Can you not cardio off the extra cals?
Edit: for a long time I was kinda doing IF by accident (had never heard of it before joining here). I'd skip breakfast and lunch but drink crazy amounts of coffee and coke zero which worked as a pretty good appetite suppressant. Keto definitely sounds more manageable to me

There is no way I can cardio off the "extra" cals I have been eating.... If I was on a regular schedule like the rest of the world then the fasting diet would be perfect for me. But being that my sleeping and eating times vary so much its hard to commit. I hate jumping from diet to diet but I may just give the keto plan a try. I mean c'mon, bacon in a meal-plan? Count me in!

You might have already posted it earlier in the thread, but what is your current diet? Calories and Macros?
I assume you understand meal timing is irrelevant as long as you meet your calories/macros daily.
What are you currently eating? Possibly try to eat some filling foods to help curb your hunger?
I personally am never hungry in the morning and I wake up around 630am. I eat when I feel hungry, which varies between 11am to 5pm, depending on how I feel. I just make sure I meet my macros and I am fine.

I know what you mean. I've always been drawn to the Atkins style diet because it seems you can eat an awful lot of food that I really like - cheese, fatty meat, etc etc. but I've never gone ahead with it because I can't get my brain around the idea of eating lots of food that I've always been conditioned to believe is unhealthy. Let me know how you get on with it

Another good food day yesterday. 2000 cals on the nose (F65, C183, P181). 30 mins skipping was a bit of a chore - I felt tired and my arms were sore from lifting the day before. But, knowing that I'm out for Italian food tonight I also dragged myself up this morning for a 5k run - and after the run (before taking on fluids) I weighed in at 163 and 17.5% bf. Now, I realise it's just water weightloss and my bf always reads lowest after training (I think it's to do with body temp) but hitting these new lows (elbeit temporarily) is something of a psychological boost for me. Lifting tonight before the resto.
Need to keep drinking in check - max half a bottle of wine and three beers (yeah right)!

Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

Pretty well jacked-up my nutrition yesterday. Drank 5 beers while hanging out with some friends and watching hockey. Ended up at 2800 cal, 230C, 111F, and 137P. Funny thing is, today I'm really motivated to hit my numbers! I don't know if it's guilt or just that I needed the mental break, but I'm back for today at least!
