    Solo lifters and board presses

Do u guys have boards at your gym? Or do u being them with u/keep in a locker? An if u are in fact a solo lifter at a commercial gym ext do u just ask somebody to hold the board for you? It's bad enough trying to get some people to spot me let a lone hold a board on top of my face lol.

If you're training alone in a commercial gym I think you should probably just skip out on the board presses unless you can find reliable spotters, and someone to hold the board.

Yeh I figured this would be the answer just didn't wanna hear it lol, I bought a slingshot to hopefully help me replace board presses to some extent.

    here's what I do.....

I have different levels of boards on a 2 x 6 and have the last 8 or so inches of the board with nothing
on it, that part I put into a weight belt so it stays put and stable, works like a champ!

I use a phonebook/yellow pages (2,2 inches witch I think is a 1,5 boards). Stuff it down my hoddie, and lift in the power rack. I haven´t had much problem, but I haven´t used more than 300lb, so might be more problematic with higher weights. I just hate not having some to help me unrack.

I cut the "trunk" part out of an old under armor shirt, put it over my t-shirt, then put the boards inside the under armor. I works pretty well.

Sorry if thats tough to picture.

A few inches off the bottom of the shirt and use it as like everybody is using bands and stuff? I think I may try this out

I cut it accross the width of the shirt just under the arm pits, and use the bottom portion, which is just basically a tube, to hold the boards.

You can kind of see what im talking about. I start with the boards at about :30 seconds.
