Sometimes its the avi that tells me whose post it is. Like a familiar face etc. since most post don't have titles. And you are correct, there isn't any correlation, the quality has nothing to do with the avi, but the post that one would be more likely read is a post with an avi that attracts you. But that is an individual attraction. Quality is judged by the reader.
I maybe wrong but some how my simple observation seem to be turning me to look like an idiot? Hahahahahaha
It's like that telephone game. With each person passing an interpretation that eventually is so off from the original post I begin to wonder how it became so changed.....lol
I basically said in a nutshell, because this thread is one on physical relationship, when some one complemented a poster on his avi, I found it interesting because it was an example , metaphorical , of the topic, that the avi got noticed and it became representative of what a physical attraction is. That's all. But than on a reply I did go further that the avi can attract you to reading a post.

Oh no....I didn't mean to imply that your post was idiotic at all. Since this is all opinion, rather than objective fact, your take on this is just as valid as mine. If the avi is what initially draws you to a post, who am I to question the validity of that? Perhaps it is because I am pretty familiar with this site that I know, before even seeing the avi, who the smart posters are and who are the abject morons...lol.

Physical attraction has always been on the bottom of my list. 17 yrs later and my beautiful husband is bald, still short and a good 40 lbs heavier. He came home one day, I glanced over for a second and was stricken with horror. I screamed "Where the fuk are your 2 front teeth?!" They had literally fallen out of his mouth! He played hockey as a kid and his 2 front teeth got knocked out, so they replaced them.
I took almost 6 months for him to get replacement teeth. He had to keep going back, so they could do all this "supposed" prep work.
I always had a rule that you didn't have to be the best looking guy. But there was no way in hell I would be caught dead with a man who was missing his teeth!

Sexual attraction is everything in a relationship. Doesn't mean the person needs to be "in shape". If there's a strong physical attraction, that chemistry can transcend lumps, weight gain, etc. I know this is true for me at least.

Go to any dating website of your choice and read the women's profiles. I think you'll come away with the impression that placing importance on looks isn't exclusive to, or even heavily weighted toward men.
Forgive me if I want to believe that there are still men out there who love their wives for 40 or 50 or more years because of more than their looks. Just as I want to believe that there are women who love their husbands regardless of who much money they bring home.
I hope that when I'm 87 and Flex is 84,he'll still sit on the front porch and tell me he loves me. I'll be an old wrinkly lady by then, for sure. But I really hope Mr Flexy will see beyond the wrinkles.

Good luck with that approach, it's the same as telling her she's fat. I have talked to my wife numerous times about joining my gym, it would only cost $25 a month but she wants no part of it so I stopped talking about it. last week she finally decided on her own to get back in shape and is back on her diet and pulled all her exercise stuff out and is using it. Women will decide when it's time for them to lose weight and get in shape, not us.
Big time truth there! We had a young woman who used to work with us in office, nice body with a so so face. Anyways one morning I said "good morning" to her and she totally blew me off, I heard she had doen this to a few others as well. So from that time forward I couldn't stand her and thought she was an extremely ugly and nasty person."You know that little thing in your head that keeps you from saying things you shouldn't? Yeah, well, I don't have one of those."

agree^^^ Simpy...no one really believes that the person we marry at _____ age is going to stay the same..."time marches on and it is marching across my face"
but the hope is of course, that there is a whole lot more going on in the relationship that will sustain it over time..however, thank you for actually admitting that certain conditions such as extreme obesity would make it harder to be physically attracted...

I'm not disagreeing with you at all about the bulk of the world's views. However, I did say "to me" in my original statement, and I'm stickin' with it. To me, a bad personality can make an otherwise attractive person become completely unattractive. Actually, it seems that other people are saying this as well, but they have been expressing themselves better than I did.
Let's say I see a gorgeous hunk of man from across the room at a party, who looks so spectacular I am considering tackling him and dragging him into the nearest bathroom by his zipper. However, as I get closer to him, I realize that he's punching his sister with one hand, strangling a puppy with the other, and stomping up and down on Mother Theresa's grave. I will never again look at that guy and think 'what a handsome man, I am so attracted to him!', because now I know he's a flaming *******.
