Had to rant for a sec... I have a hardcore sweet tooth, hence the 55lbs loss so far. But I keep falling off my diet or spiking my sugar levels. I've had no sugar today and I feel like I could rob a candy store.
How the hell do I get rid of these cravings?!? It's been over a year since I started working out..

I love chocolate. I could eat it everyday and twice on Sunday all day long. Never big a huge fan of hard candy though. Since I don't eat much chocolate at all anymore I find myself grabbing some hard candy that I would never touch before. I will have like a tootise pop about 20 mins before heading to the gym. I like getting the boost and the calories really won't kill my day.

eat some oatmeal or orages
i feel your pain though, peanut butter is like crack to me, once i start i dont stop till the jar is empty lolGet a crew cut. Everybody knows a short haircut makes you look bigger. Really though, I suggest going all the way and shaving it off. Grow a goatee too. This will suffice during your hypertrophy-phasse till there's an 8 pack of hotdogs on the back of your neck.

Excellent suggestion there.
That stuff saved me countless times from cheating back when I was cutting. It totally satisfies the sweet tooth and you can eat the whole thing without worrying about messing up your day. I used 1 cup of fat free milk and one cup of almond milk to cut on the calories a bit more. The almond milk makes it taste even better, actually.

I have also modified this recipe to use vanilla protein powder, raspberry sugar free jello, greek yogurt and skim milk to make Protein Panna Cotta. DE-****ing-LICIOUS. It's the same idea but you can't follow these directions, you have to follow the instructions on the jello package.
Also, I'm going to be experimenting and try to make a Protein Chocolate Souffle. Hopes are high.Last edited by astigos; 03-09-2012 at 03:41 PM.
Some people just don't want to hear the simplicity of it all, because then there's no excuse when they fail.

Thanks for the advice, def going to try the pudding ideas.
To the people who say "fit it in your macros", cals in is cals out I know but sugar does effect the way your body burns fat with insulin levels. Correct me if I'm wrong.Starting Weight 255lbs. 2/1/2011

I really wished people would stop saying that. Unless you are diabetic your insulin is fine. If you are too worried, spend the $50 for a blood check set-up and see for yourself.
I got a meter with 100 strips free through a program and have been checking my sugar randomly twice a day (just because I can) - rock solid at 88-92. And I eat chocolate, white bread, pizza or whatever "scary" food you could think of.

I'm the opposite I only drink water , and tea when i'm not cutting , I have completely eliminated processed sweets from my diet ,with virtually no cravings ,the thought of cake or sugary stuff kind of disgusts me and almost makes me want to throw up, I watched somebody pour 700 hundred calories of sugar into there pitcher of tea the other day and I was flabbergasted and disgusting no wonder we have so many people with diabetes, I do eat low gi fruit and that satisfies me.
