glad I made the switch from wizard to monk having loads of fun tearing **** up as opposed to that *******y looking wizard shooting arcan missles with a ****ing wand and orb.

That sounds decent, the thing for me with magic missle is I like the range boost, helps with survivability when you can stay out of the messy stuff, my guy feels a bit squishy right now, I only have ~800hp and get hit pretty badly in some cases.

I'm pretty squishy too. I've been loading my Templar up with +vit/+dex items when I find them... He has like 2800 HP right now.

I dunno, wish that taunt/heal were separate talents for the templar. Really wish he could hold aggro better and be able to heal me.

What's your damage number at? Mines 181 at level 21 and I find my damage isn't great but it's not too bad.

And yeah I hate the wallers. Gotta be on top of those frost novas. CD reduction rune helps a ton.

Right now I have magic missle for single target (that's kinda weak) and Arcane Orb for AOE which works decent. Frost Nova/Wave of Force for defence/CC, Magic Weapon for the 10% damage boost (really nice to have) and that explosion attack, can't remember what it's called.

My wiz is pretty awful. I struggled quite a bit in just act one alone .... really considering starting a dh or wd.

Fuuuuu bros. I got to lvl 10 last night before bnet **** on us even though i was suppose to wait till tonight on my gaming buddy I've been playing with for 5 years. Now i have to suffer through work and get in shoulders and legs before i can play again. I'm not gonna make it.

Keep paying the blacksmith and you can make better items. Typically tho the items require higher levels the more you pay him. I upgraded him two the second level 4000x10ish gold and he made me a shield that was for a lvl 24. I'm only lvl 20.


The gold tooth is used to make yellow items. You probabaly will only be able to build blue sholders for now.

im lvl 14 and i got my forge/crafting up to 1/2 through lvl 2...and i havent seen any yellow recipes...

What level are you? Do the items built at lvl 3 are they mostly for 25+ characters?

half way through lvl 2 and i can craft lvl 24ish items

Try to get better gear, which sometimes is easier said than done but when I focused on upgrading it I was 1 shotting mobs by the end of act 1 with a purchased wand and +damage rings and amulet (these are actually really nice to have). End of act 2 is definitely tougher as I haven't been as successful in finding items but gear basically makes or breaks you moreso than the current character balance, but that's jmho.

I'm gonna test out the Wizard and Barb, I like the DH but it's the only one I've played so I don't know what I'd end up prefering.

Well blacksmithing has been pretty fruitless thus far... level 5 now and still don't need any of this gear. All of my rares from drops are better.

did just get my first legendary though, leoric's crown, only going for 40k on the ah though

Just fyi for any brahs considering wiz

It's a rough road nom saiyan. Jailer or waller special mobs will fist your anoose hard sometimes. My wiz is only lvl 20 (would prolly be lvl 30 if I didn't get stuck in downtime during the only times I can play), and dmg is still pretty low. It's tough picking skills/runes because what works with one set of mobs totally sucks for another set of mobs and is completely useless vs boss/special mobs.

The wiz armors you cast only last 2 minutes and have barely any animation... pain in the ass to refresh all the time.
I'm sure eventually a few of the spells will stand out and become the better option for almost everything.

If anyone is playing a higher lvl wiz and has some tips let me know. Currently I mostly use the 3 lighting standard attack with the slain enemies explode rune, the frost ray for single target *** w/ increased *** rune, frost nova with cd reduction, arcane orbs or w/e and that aoe pushback/stun. Just feels weak, I dunno. I think I'm about 1/2 of the way through act 2, maybe a little further.

Ignore armors for now. I use crippling wave to move mobs away and stun them and diamond skin to protect my anoose. You could also grab teleport for the oh shiiiii situations, but I took magic weapon/familiar as my 3rd utility to boost damage. Magic wep first then familiar once he got the 12% damage rune.

Mirror image is good for getting bosses to leave you alone. I respec for bosses since I don't really need my spend AoE spell for them. RoF is really all I use for bosses.

Ya me too (running outta mana) I find the zombies do really good DMG but dont seem to run my mana down as much as other things.

He's gotta avoid the fire, it's easy to tell when it's about to light up a section of the floor. Make sure you're the one fighting him close and he's staying at a distance.

dont bother stun locking, just kite the **** out of him...stay out of the fire (youll notice the platform turn bright orange before the fire erupts on that section) when he throws that fire beam thing he charges right after so when u see it, gtfo of the way

the wiz should be popping diamond skin or w/e to mitigate damage

This, level my wizz to 27 and decided to reroll, i was hoping for a proper crystal cannon, but it seems like they have turned the wizz into a kiting class.

Ima try a blood letting tanky barb.

Intelligence is better at the later levels but if you find an off-hand or jewelery that adds to damage you'll wanna prioritize that over intelligence unless you're getting a **** load of intelligence.

Thanks for the wiz tips bros.

One tip I found was to use a slow 2h weapon instead of wand/book. I haven't tried it, but since spell damage is based on weapon damage, apparenty it gives a huge increase to overall *** of wizard.
