is keeping the elbows tucked near your body necessary?
"I fear stagnation and lack of progress.
I fear never reaching my potential, and being average.
I fear being forgotten...
I fear letting those I love down, letting myself down.
I fear settling.
I fear dying without leaving my mark.
I fear not feeling these fears.
These fears feed me.
They nourish my drive.
I love my fears. "
I do it because I can, I can because I want to, I want to because you said I couldn't.

Not trying to hijack the thread or Impose myself but I noticed something. In your vid. Your bar path is good and you have a good arch and the elbows are tucked. The only thing that I noticed that scot said he advises to do is that you didn't make sure your feet were perpendicular to the floor. Besides that awesome lift man. Repped for the pr

Recreational for now, I might try a comp next year if I can get my deadlift up to where it should be. I'm thinking about the 45-49 masters class at 182#. I was down to 186 this past July but I went too fast and my lifts were suffering. I'm trying to take a slower approach this time.

I'm a 6'2" slenderish guy, I weigh about 185/190 now and I've been increasing weight on my upper body workouts by about 5 lbs every week & 1/2 or 2 now. Anyways, I haven't been running or doing much cardio or other workouts to supplement my upperbody and core excersizes but I am going to start running/jogging to get rid of this layer of fat around my stomache. But since I have always had a pretty high metabolism (i used to weigh like 165 before working out the last 6 months) I need to take a lot more calorie intake each day right? So maybe like 3k to 4k or something?
So my question is; if I begin running and eating a **** ton of calories won't they just counteract each other or something? I don't really understand how I can eat so much and lose weight around the fatty areas and still put it on around the places i'm trying to build up. Maybe Im just being retarded. What kind of diet would you recommend for someone like me? I usually have trouble eating breakfast too because A) I don't even wanna look at food for a few hours after waking up (i dunno why), and B) I have to get up early to go to work and dont usually have time for much else than a banana. Like is it still better than nothing to eat garbage just for the calories? (you know like pop tarts or cereal or whatever fast food I can snag).
