Tempting. I have tried the being fat thing in the past. The decreased ROM really helps my bench since it's basically like doing a 4 Board Press except the boards are my man boobs.

One critique - when you bench, do not pull the bar into position. You lost some back arch doing that, and probably 1.5" on your ROM. Let your spotter push it into position.

Maybe not the biggest or strongest in the powerlifting community, but the effort put into all 3 of those lifts is 2nd to none.

Interesting. From reading Tate's stuff, he always tells you to pull the bar into position as it keeps the lats "tight" and, as a result, your whole set-up.

Eating 2300 calories to boot. Honestly aside from a few technique tweaks I think it was mostly mental. I wanted 275 really, really, really fuking bad.

Hatred of, and sheer contempt for, the iron can be a powerful tool sometimes in setting a new PR. Good... you are learning to embrace the dark side... your training is almost complete. >:-O

Once I develop a better arch and leg drive I have no doubt that I will break the 300 barrier quickly. It's always going to be my weakest lift but there's no reason I shouldn't be hitting 1.5x BW.

After 6 straight days of training I took the weekend off before I start PHAT tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing if I can maintain or gain strength during the the next 12 weeks of my cut.
