Does it matter to take creatine while cutting?

I know that it makes you bigger due to the water retention going to your muscle but as i am about to start cutting, should i get off it or stay on it?

Are you taking monohydrate or a different form? Personally i think the whole water retention aspect of creatine is over blown.

    IMO- Stay on the creatine

Stay on creatine, it's very beneficial during a cutting phase. There won't be noticeable water retention with the proper dosage of creatine.

one study that observed creatine use for ~20mo in athletes showed no negative side effects, and everyone thinks they should just stay on it till they die now.

    sigh.

I personally take my Kre Alkalyn creatine all through my competition prep or cutting phase. I find it helps a lot with minimizing muscle lose while on a low calorie diet. If you are doing a strict and hard cut you will loose some muscle, its just a fact, but I don't feel like I loose much when on Kre Alkallyn. Good luck

Idk if creatine helped or not...but when I cut I took it, small doses on off days, like 1-2.5g, but on workout days 5g, my cut didn't weaken my strength so who knows creatine may have helped

I have always used creatine while cutting, and only get off of it a few days before an event like a photo shoot or contest. Although, with Kre Alkalyn I often just keep using it right through an event since it does not mess with my stomach like straight mono.

I take Kre Alkalyn still during my cut, if anything I feel its extra important to take it if you are cutting so that too much isnt lost - I found out the hard way when I came off it and ran a cut with OxyElitePro, Lost far too much weight everywhere, even my face!

okay maybe not that long ago, but i think it's been shown that these loading phases are not required at all.

well, it'll be hard to completely eliminate it from someone's diet if they eat lots of steaks. i think there's ~1g in 8-10oz of beef.
