***To make this recipe using a standard 9" springform pan double all ingredients.***
Ingredients:
3/4c (or 3 23g scoops) whey protein (i used EAS chocolate, vanilla or some vanilla variation would probably work best)
(2) 8oz packages of non-fat cream cheese
1/2c *fat free sour cream
1/2 Tbsp vanilla
1/8c (or 2 Tbsp) flour
1/2c egg whites
12 packets splenda
1c skim milk
Crust:
4 full graham crackers (lowest possible calorie graham crackers available)
1 Tbsp I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray
1-2 Tbsp water
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 packets splenda
1. preheat oven to 300F
2. use a blender and mix cream cheese with protein and 12 splenda packets until smooth
3. using a wooden spoon or rubber spatula blend in eggs, vanilla, sour cream, milk
4. grind up graham crackers into tiny pieces using a minichopper thingie add in cinnamon, 2 splenda packets, 2Tbsp water, and I can't believe its not butter spray
5. grease the bottom of a pyrex container or springform pan and pack graham cracker crust into the bottom
6. pour cheesecake mix over crust.
7. bake for 30minutes check to see if its done by sticking a toothpick into the cake, if it comes out clean it's done, if not put back in for 5 min and recheck.
8. remove from oven and*refrigerate*until ready to serve.
here's the result:
it's still tastes amazing, but it is a little dry, this is my first time making this so i put it in at 325F for 45min, also I only used 3/8c of milk, i recommend bumping it up to 1 whole cup of skim milk (which will add 50 calories), with normal cheese cake you bake at 350F for an hr, but given that there is zero fat and the protein powder likes to absorb moisture it came out a little dry.
here's some other cheesecakes i've made.
Carmel apple pecan cheesecake:
strawberry bannana cheesecake:
also if you want to make REAL cheesecake, cook at 350F for an hour, then turn off the stove and leave cheesecake in the oven for 5 hrs, replace non-fat ingredients with their normal versions, instead of protein powder, you would use 3/4c of white sugar, 2 eggs instead of egg whites, and no splenda, and you would double the crust, you can add in other things to the mix as well, such as mashed bannanas, rum, cappacino mix, lime or lemon juice, real chocolate, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc...
EDIT: inb4 povertymeal etc...
and because you asked for more...

it's not that i am afraid of fat, but it tack on calories to the dish so quickly it's hard to maintain one's macros with a lot of fat in a dish. For instance the bottom two cheesecakes came out to over 6000 calories a piece, granted they are double'd in size, but that still makes them twice as calorie dense with no where near the protein
that is correctDude.....no

ya boss I got some healthy ones and not so healthy.
deep fried onion rings and sauce.*
1. slice up some red onions into rings
2. mix 1/4c flour with 1/4c cornmeal(just use another 1/4c flour if you're too lazy to buy corn meal) with 2tbsp granulated garlic, 1tsp salt, 1 tsp parsley flakes, 1 tbsp onion powder, add some tabasco sauce, and then a 1/2 of cup of beer, mix it all together, this is your batter.
3. heat up some vegatable oil in a pan about 1" deep, not max heat test it out with just a drop of batter if it takes about 20 seconds to fully brown that's the perfect heat. Dip rings into batter, dump in oil
You can use this batter to fry fish, chicken, cheeseballs, frozen cream corn chunks, etc...
Sauce:
mix the following in a bowl. (all going to be rough estimates, because i never measure for this sauce)
1/2c mayo
3Tbsp granulated garlic
3 Tbsp minced garlic (yes double garlic)
1.5Tbsp onion powder
about a shot worth of jack daniels
1 tsp tabasco sauce
1tsp black pepper
1/2-1tsp hungarian paprika
1tsp ancho (or regular) chili pepper
and a couple splashes of red wine or balsamic vinegar (dijon mustard can be substituted)
1.5 tsp brown sugar
you want the sauce to be slightly tangy, very garlicy, and have an after kick of heat
how i cook my chicken
my trademark Jack Dagniel's sawse which i used to flavor my chicken:
1. chop up a good amount (half an onion) of red onion into really small pieces.
2. throw it into a pan on med heat with about 2tbsp of minced garlic, and roughly 2Tbsp of olive (whatever kind of oil you like) oil, let it simmer for about 5-10min until the onions are caramelized.*
3. add about 2 shots of jack daniels to the mix, along with 1tsp salt, 1tsp tabasco sauce, about a 1/4c of brown sugar, and about 1tsp red wine vinegar.
4. let this simmer until it doesn't straight drip off your spoon.
5. boo ya*Last edited by Jerma; 08-13-2011 at 06:55 PM.
