I just recently tried an aged cigar this week. Buddy of mine from a local smoke shop hooked me up with a 1999 Hoyo De Monterrey Excalibur. The taste was really good and it seemed to not get that bitter taste down towards the nub like many of the cigars I try get.

I wish I could tell ya, I've never had a cuban.
Some people say it's all in our heads. The mystique of having something we're not supposed to have makes it taste better. I say bullshiaat. CC typically get some awesome ratings by cigar aficionado magazine and are often their cigar of the year. Everyone on here and other places say that they are just a better smoke. Consistent and flavorful.*** Misc CIGAR Crew ***(smoking avi sub crew)

Cubans are just different than nons. Better? Personally I will take a favorite NC over most any Cuban. Cubans have a nice creaminess to them. I like the power of a good Nicaraguan stick though. Smoke what you like.
What did you smoke??
I would grab them myself but I hate that vitola.
These are all very solid choices.Last edited by darkninja67; 07-20-2011 at 05:25 AM.

I know, I need to get some evening smokes in as well.
After work, have a Cain calling my name.
That's my mix of preference but I'm always good for a salty-dog with a good stick as well. OR a nice little baseball steak.
What does everybody else pretty to compliment their cigar with?

I smoke dry usually but will have an iced coffee from time to time. Also would have a Guiness or some other stout when in a lounge. I hate cognac, scotch and hard stuff plus I am staying sober.
