road to the stage in 2012

The tittle says it all, I will be stepping on stage in a local show in april of 2012 if all things go according to plan

    History
I started lifting on the 1st of july in 2008, I weighed 55lbs and was around 5 feet tall give an inch or two. In other words i was anorexic, That summer I gained 22lbs of lean muscle and I had just started wrestling. My lifts at the start of my training were PATHETIC, and thats an understatement. Over the course of the past two years and 10 months I have gained around 85lbs, which brings me to now.

    current day
I currently have some outstanding lifts mainly in the squat and bench, I Hold a record for the 135 weight class at my school of a 350lbs squat freshman year and last semester 405lbs. Bench I havent been quite as accomplished in but i have gotten up to 235lbs before my torn labrium due to wrestling. I weigh in around 140lbs-142lbs at around a 10-15% bf and I'm almost 5'6" tall.

    Long term goals
Win my first contest before i graduate from high school, get a pro card by the time I'm 25.

    Short term goals

weigh 160lbs before my contest prep, and walk on stage about 150lbs

    Current training

Bill star 5x5, Was like the 3rd program I did and it helped me gain well over 25lbs in 3 months and while noob gains are gone, I'm trusting this program for the next 4-5 months to help me add 15-20lbs.

    Current lifts
after a torn labrium and a knee injury I have had to recover practically all my lifts, squat and deads are still no where near what it used to be but here we go

    bench- 195x5
    squat- 225x5
    deadlift- 245x1 (i think)
    military- 145x1

    diet

I will consume around 4250 calories a day, due to my high metabolism It's the base rate for me to gain weight. I will be amping up my calories as soon as a stall after the weekly weighing is present. As of 1 minute ago I weighed 138.4lbs I will weigh myself everyday before consumption of food/drink and on an empty blatter, The most I have ever weighed was 141.8 I hope to be past that weight by tuesday next week.

    lets go
    Goals:
    squat: 315x1
    Deadlift: 370x1

    yesterdays workout

got called into work right after I got done at the gym didn't get home until 2am So I'm posting now fuuuuuuu

    Military press
    barx10
    95x5
    115x5
    135x5

    Deadlift
    135x5
    225x5
    235x5

    Leg press (subed for squat)
    135x5
    315x5

notes; was a pretty good workout. Leg press is subbed out for squats so I can still do a movement that engages the calfs, quads, hams, etc. and Still put some weight up. next time will probably finish at 7 plates Since it's only 5 reps. Would like to start doing a video at least once of week that has to do with some aspect of my training. Cardio wat done today walked lol easing into the cardio because I would like my weight to hit 141 before I start doing an actuall session of it.
    Goals:
    squat: 315x1
    Deadlift: 370x1

    155x5
    175x5

    155x8

    bb row
    135x5
    145x5

Notes; didn't get to do a whole workout or even squat because the gym was closing this week was pretty ****ed up any way. BB rows are now done from the floor and every rep is a dead weight rep and because I'm new to this style I counted 165 as a PR. Ready to squat monday!

Some good PR's and considering this was my first time squating in 4-5 months since the injure I'm somewhat satisfied with my squat. It is to below parallel, so it's ALOT harder than before and I feel it in my legs pretty good. Looking to squat maybe 315 by the end of this program. And maybe deadlift 340? idk we shall see

After taking a week off due to sickness I still feel ****ty but I'm not throwing up anymore so thats a start. I had alot of time to think about my program and I was considering switching it to WS4SB and leaving it there for 4-5 months and letting that take me where ever it does. I just feel like I need just a bit more volume and squating three times a week after comming back from a knee injurie is too demanding. Hitting up the gym later today/tonight will post with the new program

weight update as of 5 seconds ago...139lbs. in a matter of two days or so I should be back to 140-141 and then the real gaining starts. I'm going to try and start getting videos from my workouts but I do not own a video camera so As soon as I figure something out we should have some vids up.

It happened No I do not have a vid of 405x1 it was slightly above parralell I will admit. The closest thing I have to it on video is 345x4 but I tweaked my knee squating and after doing more research going to parrallel/Slightly above parrallel causes stress directly on the knee so know its ass to grass and I can only do 245x5

u have Bo clue what ur Talking about. That is 40lbs over an elite squat you would've broken several records for basically any raw age group for 132.

405 at 135 is not an everyday thing, being reality ur nothing special, no videos, no happen.

    So I'll repeat myself

    It either

    - never happened
    - was a quarter squat

345x5 is also basically repping what is considered an elite squat for 132...

also your only 16 so u couldn't have been lifting long, no way you can progress that fast. You also said you did this at school, and in school u basically dip down an inch and it's considered a "squat"

    135x6
    135x6

    BB rows
    135x10
    135x10
    135x10

    Rear delt machine
    110x15
    120x12

Notes; Was too tired at the end to finish 2 more abb sets, Weight should be back up to 141 tomorrow considering how much I have eaten today. Good day for bench skeptical about the PR but hey I should eventually be able to do it on my own and thats all that matters after all my focus is SIZE

Long week, had a lot of family stuff since my brother was leaving for the airforce a this tuesday morning. It doesn't bother me too much that I didn't get to workout because I wont really start gaining till school starts anyway. Current weight isn't bad though 142 as of yesterday. Strength is good as well, all while remaining pretty lean. Can't wait to really get serious when school starts in a few weeks. Hopefully I can put on a few more lbs before it hits. will post workouts here and there until I have school.

    squat: 315x1

Worked out for the first time monday was a pretty decent workout, still nothing worth posting. Bench i got 225x3 with a spot. My shoulder was sticking again. And my triceps and biceps are weak due to not training for 2 weeks. So once I get back to normal then the real progress starts

Finally back after a **** ton of health problems; Possible tumor, fractured elbow, stomach flu, and so on. Glad I'm finally back in the gym I'm a little more religious about eating again and my weight is back up to 139 so I'm not too bad. Still not even close to seeing the 160 yet though but I hope to get there sometime within the near future
