    At 102 getting out of bed on your own is a record.

    I seriously doubt if the average person on the street would consider anything poverty about owning a bicycle that costs two and a half grand.

    On the other hand, mine cost half that much and I have the same opinion regarding cost. I guess when you look at it like that, all things are relative then huh?

    I agree... and I realize that it isn't a poverty bike. When you ride with so many people on $6k+ rigs that upgrade annually with new PM's, wheels, computers and other toys, I feel like the poverty rider...

    I see people upgrading just for the sake of it...

    I bought my felt on sale, pedals on sale, PM on a mega sale (used), helmets on sale, I just picked up a new set tri-shoes for 30% off too...

    the sport is expensive that is for sure but it gets even more expensive if you go like a dummy into the LBS with CC just ready to spend.

    I got to ride Markham park in Miami yesterday. It was such an incredible place, I plan on going back every chance I get now.

    Markham park is not in Miami, It's in Sunrise, Fl.

    Amelia Earhart park in Hialeah has nice trails also.

    You do realize there are people in this thread from the other side of the world? If he mentioned Sunrise, as a location outside of the tri county South Florida area, no one would know what he was talking about.

    I can confirm, only places i have ever heard of in Fl are Miami (because everyone has) and Dade County (because wannabe EMT brah). Rest of Florida is swamp and meth labs as far as i know, blows my mind that visitors from out of state don't mind leaving their car at the border and airboating in.

    As mentioned I said Miami because I figured it'd be more recognizable than Sunrise. I'll have to check out Amelia next time too. I still cant believe how sick Markham Park is though, going back asap.

    Stick to the road, Triboy! Haha, jk.
    Component wise it goes something similar to this.

    SLX= 105
    XT= Ultegra
    XTR= Dura Ace

    I run a 9 speed XT rd, XTR shifter, and SLX crank with a 32T RaceFace Narrow/Wide ring. My easiest gear is 32x34

    You have three wheel choices nowadays 26, 27.5 and 29er. You can make do with a hardtail, you just have to pick better lines.
