I myself bench press alone, and theres always a worry for me when im bench pressing.. you properly know what it is....yes failing the bar, not being able to complete that last rep! pinning you down like a nail on a cross.
How do you cope with this, and when do you know when your last rep is coming..?

Didn't you made a thread regarding this a couple weeks ago? If so, why are you making a new thread regarding the same problem when you already got the answers in your old thread..?
Either way, just don't bench press to failure and you should be good. Don't put clips at the end of the bar, so you can tip the weights off incase you get stuck with the bar.https://www.instagram.com/brunobastos_93/

You got two things you can do when you're pinned :
1) The roll of shame. As soon as you feel yourself utterly failing throw all your strength into rolling the bar down your chest onto your legs.
2) Tip the bar to one side violently, causing the weight to slide off.
Everyone fails eventually, it's just a matter of know what to do when it occurs.
On knowing if you can really crank out one more rep it's all just feeling it out.

I bench/squat alone becuase i'm a fearless bastard!
In all seriousness tho, i will be doing SS soon, and theres no way on ****ing earth i'm doing bench/squat alone in my garage without a spotter, the bench is one thing and the roll of shame is gd enough, but chucking the weight during a squat on the floor is not an option for me, my bro will be back from uni for the summer so i'll just get him to spot me.Strong adriana lima picture embed to post ratio

Just say to yourself, if I drop this on me I WILL die, mind over body.
You will never be satisfied with your results. Years and years of constant dedication will give you the body you imagined yourself with when you started lifting. Your body is a badge of honor, that tells the world of the dedication, and time you have put into it and your body is your reward. There is no quick fix solution, only years lifting and training.

^Yea, great advices. If you don't have spotter or anybody near you to help in emergency, that's just plain stupid.

I was doing a program that was suppose to increase bench and I was on the last day of it which was to max and it was a good thing it did...
BTW I know a kid that went to the same school and was a year young that died from dropping the bar on his neck... this was in a school weight room ... this kid was on drugs half the time and he always looked high...

Dont go to absolute failure, your body will still gain strength.
Also, ask someone to spot if you plan to. But i've learned when i have enough for one more rep, just the feeling/confidence in pushing it.
If it takes you more than a couple seconds on the way up or if you stall midaway through. i would say stop thereBANG BANG ALPHA GANG
