Hi all,
I have unfortunately been 'blessed' with Coleman-style abs. I.e. the sixpack is widely separated along the midline, as you can clearly see in any of Ronnie Coleman's pictures (sorry, can't post pictures yet as I'm new to these forums). It causes my belly to bulge and look like I'm pregnant.
Are there any non-surgical ways to fix this? I know I'm not supposed to be doing crunches as it reportedly makes this conditions worse, but I was wondering whether there's exercises I can do to close the gap? My abs look horrible, but I don't feel like spending thousands of dollars on a tummy tuck and getting a massive scar to boot...

Diastasis Rehab is your solution
I am a specialist in treating diastasis recti for women, men and children. The Tupler Technique is a research based 4 step program that will close a diastasis recti without surgery! There is a DVD that has just come out called Diastasis Rehab Say Good Bye to Your Gut Guys... You can get a lot of information about diastasis recti on my website Just google tupler technique and you will learn all about it.
best

There is no way of correcting this non-surgically.
The "gap" between the six pack is a fibrous band of tissue known as an aponeurosis called the linea alba. This doesn't grow or contract and is almost completely devoid of blood vessels. No exercise will change it's size.
Sorry dude! You'll probably find that this bothers you more than anybody else notices. Getting your abs bigger can make the gap look smaller, but there's no real way to change it.The first rule of cheat club is you do not talk about cheat club. The second rule of cheat club is you DO NOT talk about cheat club. Third rule of cheat cub, someone yells stop!, goes limp, taps out, the cheat is over. Fourth rule, one cheat at a time, fellas. Fifth rule, cheats will go on as long as they have to. And the sixth and final rule, if this is your first night at cheat club, you have to cheat.

This is not what Julie says. She says her 'tupler technique' can actually close the gap without a tummy tuck. Anyone with experience in this method?
I also notice a weird bulge protruding through the gap when I do crunches. I'm slightly concerned about that, as it looks really weird. Am I not at risk for herniation here?
