    Question Heavy Duty training? "Mike Mentzer"

    What do you guys think about this?

    Like Mentzer said: "you should not spend more than 30min in the gym".. IMO that might overtrain you because you are training with a very high intensity, you are doing a 60-70min workout in less than 30min. I guess that may overtrain you.

    What do you think? have you ever tryied this method before?

    No, it would be much better for him to do only 1 set of 8 repetitions on incline bench for chest, and of course only hit chest once every 10 days. This will result in massive size and strength gains.

    i dont agree with everything mentzer says and his training def leads to undertraining imo but progress > no progress

    Yeah he went too crazy with it. Im all for low volume heavy training, but Mentzer HIT is just ridiculous. And for pro BB'ers, high volume seems to work better (maybe because less bbers have tried low volume but w/e) for competitive BBing.

    yeha a lot of pro's need a ****load of sets to even get a minor tear of muscle cuz they been doing it for so damn long there body is used to it

    as a noob we would benefit from HIT
