Hello, I have been training using bodybuilding style workouts, diets and supplementation for the last few years however I play a lot of other sports as well and I have never really wanted to risk results to test how preworkout supplements might affect my performance while playing lacrosse or more importantly in rowing.
Anyone have experience with this? The usual length of each race is about 5 minutes, steady exertion how would this work with supplements designed for weight training? Also some of the longer races are about 20 minutes... are there different supplements more designed for this sort of application?

Aerobitine - The Ultimate Anti-Fatigue/Fat Loss Formula
AEROBITINE™ was designed to reduce fatigue and promote energy, stamina, strength and endurance. Some of the ingredients have been shown to decrease the buildup of lactic acid or the “fatigue acids.” Aerobitine enhances aerobic exercise performance by increasing nitric oxide levels, which improves blood flow and circulation. This increases oxygen supply and nutrient delivery to working muscles and helps to remove metabolic waste by-products like lactic acid, carbon dioxide and ammonia. Aerobitine may also help to regulate blood sugar and promote fat loss by increasing glucose uptake by muscle cells, preventing fat cell deposition.
Ingredients: L-Citrulline Malate, L-Arginine, Folic Acid, R-Lipoic Acid, Biotin, Vitamin C, Blended Tocopherol Complex, Selenomethionine
(120 capsules)
Vitalyze - The Mental and Physical Performance Enhancer
VITALYZE™ promotes energy, mental alertness, elevates mood, and enhances concentration. Vitalyze helps the body handle stressful conditions and increases physical work capacity by improving muscular oxygen utilization.
DL-Phenylalanine, L-Tyrosine, Siberian Ginseng (Eleutherococcus Senticosus), Vitamin B-6, Chromium Polynicotinate, Copper Sebacate, Caffeine Anhydrous
(90 Capsules)

You might benefit from Cytomax (has lactic-acid buffering ingredients, electrolytes, simple carbs, etc). It is designed for endurace exercise... I think the 20 minute race is getting up there... also look into citrulline malate pre-race. Beta-alanine is good, but must be taken for a few weeks prior to get effects (definitely NOT a "pre-workout" supp, per se).

i wanted to say i used Powershock last weekend in a mini marathon event. and i never really got tired.. felt like i coulda done two events.. so by all means try it out!.. its more of an intra workout sup tho so you would have to probably drink half before your event and sip the remainder between heats
