Yea, after goggleing it, its only a hospital thing it looks like. Like there are Second class petty officer associations also but its probably only a corpsman thing also. Oh well i got some pretty solid ideas im stoked about trying to start it.
Thanks bud, i figured i would give both STA-21 and USNA/NAPS a try, although the LTJG i had a meeting with is being flakey. He told me to email him after i got back from my TAD and we would set something up. I did so, have yet to get a response its been about 5 days if i don't have a response tomorrow mourning may just slide by his office, im thinking he may be on leave though cause of labor day and all.U.S. Navy Corpsman - Devil Doc

just bother people until they help you. Its usually what it takes.
dont let people be lazy and phuck you over because of it. its their job to assist you, remember that.
the other bluemarlin who is an O can probably tell you more about what officers do and why alot of them are such lazy pos but you keep bothering that dude and get your app in.

was on that ship for almost 4 yrs before I retired.
I can probably count on one hand how many females checked on board and never finished a full sea tour before leaving for some reason or another.
Have met several good female sailors though. There are just too many that take advantage of the system and gives the whole idea a bad name.MILITARY RETIRED

Female corpsman are the absolute worse. I cannot stand them. I try so hard too, but most of them are lazy whiners.
BRB hospital duty 20 years.
BRB never deploying.
BRB not held to the same standards as male corpsman.
BRB claiming pride and recognition as a corpsman when in reality they sat in a hospital for 20 years.

i like the PTS policy. It eliminates all the retards and idiots from the Navy. If you work hard and don't get in trouble chances are u wont have to worry about it. If u get NJP's and are a dirt bad at work u deserve to get kicked out.

The underlying concept is needed - But I don't think it uses enough data (or allows enough command input) to best choose which Sailors should "go", if numbers need to be reduced for a specific rating & year group. It should also allow more heads-up and option to cross-rate if that's going to be someone's only option to stay in.

This. The concept is good especially for some of the CPO's who are ROAD (Retired on Active Duty). But many people are getting shafted without warning. If you're going to boot someone at least give them fair warning. The problem is you can be a great sailor but if you're rate is over manned you're just out of luck and they say thanks for everything.

Damn, well that sucks for the people who actully deserve to be here. But from so far what i have seen around my base the people that are getting taken out by PTS, it will benefit the Navy. The people i am talking about one of em work with me and he's a cool guy, but a **** bag none the less and got 2 NJP's and still disobeying rules, he deserves to go in my opinion. Most of the people getting out need not worry the Army likes picking up the Navys trash anyways.

every so often the Navy as well as the other services will use different programs to downsize. None of the programs, designed to weed out those with less potential, are perfect and on occasion some good people are lost in the shuffle.
Most of those were unfortunately in the wrong rate.
Majority of the people let go have something somewhere in their past that cause their "potential points" to drop. They just don't say it or you don't know about it. But they'll tell you how they are getting screwed.
NJP
alcohol related incidents
avoiding tougher assignments of your rate (sea duty for example)
not taking advancement tests when eligible due to procrastination
no warfare pin when you had ample time on ship or squadron
inconsistent weight or PFT standards- yeah- don't forget that fail when you were hungover 3 yrs ago.
