Definitely bro, i moved to a different school my senior year, and kinda lost contact with a lot of my friends. I didn't see a lot of them for another another year. When I was at my old school I was in between skinny and fat, basically no athletic ability. I played football but was never big or strong enough to be a starter. When I went back and saw everyone they freaked out and kept saying how good I looked compared to before. I went to a few parties and got hit on a hell of a lot more than I did before. I went to visit my old football coaches and they kept complimenting me saying "if only you were like this when u played for us".
It's kinda funny, but a lot changed for me when i started having a more athletic body.

I have a few dickheads who always say stupid **** like "Come on, quote Arnold movies" or ask me to yell "ADRIAN" or something (doesn't even really make sense), but most just comment how I'm 4x bigger than I was last time they saw me.
I was skinny as **** in high school but people still left me alone after I jacked some kid up against a wall, so I didn't get made fun of in the later years.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No.18

Was 360lbs, and I was kind of a popular kid, and no one said much, back in Junior High they did, but now that I'm 249 my friend calls me fat all the time and it pisses me off because he didn't do it when I was obese. He says he does it now because I know I'm not that fat anymore and it shouldn't bother me.
I also got that football comment from my former coach. "Why werent you this size Senior year? You could have played Linebacker!".
Can't win, haha."You have to be able to save your own life. Nobody is going to save it for you. So we have to do, what we have to do. No matter what it is"

when i was slimmer, i used to get girls staring at me all the time, i was also approachable . when i got bigger, it all went down the toilet, less girls, i now have to make an effort, they seem intimidated. however i get more stares from older women, but seriously theyre too old, im still young. oh well.

are u aware that you have an erection in your avatar?
I know i haven't gotten that much bigger, but i have gone from looking anorexic to looking relatively normal and already im noticing differences... That and i used to walk around with my shoulders up, head out front and down really awkwardly, after fixing my posture there has been a big difference.Last edited by boon9484; 08-23-2009 at 05:42 AM.

It seems that you had treated yourself differently. It's a self thing
EDIT: After reading this I figured it sounds very stupid. What I mean is getting more close to an ideal body (losing weight or gaining) makes people more comfortable also so you have the reaction back. And your clothing was kind of
an example. No offense, mate!Last edited by squadron; 08-23-2009 at 06:16 AM.

deffinately. going from 11.5 inch arms to 14.5+ since march of this year and adding 35lbs
from not filling out a mens small to filling out a large!
people at first didnt take me seriously when i said i was lifting and now i get stupid arnold comments and **** all the time and im really not even big, just bigger than the average joe. its annoying but when i think about it its like yea people deffinately notice im bigger.
but tbh ive gotten less girls. probably more attention from them for sure but less hookups. idk maybe i just spend to much of my time focusing on myself, and i go out and party less =/Do not compare yourself to others.
Compare yourself to you from yesterday.

... you aren't big.
And yes, people move out of the way and open up doors for me, let me go ahead to use the water fountain...ect.
But not nearly as many people approach me to talk to me and things like that. People are more reserved with me, and that's the downside.Thewhite9t's training log- http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?p=364921521#post364921521
