Hi
I started cutting like 3 months ago, I changed my diet and started doing cardio. I do 25 minutes of high intensity cardio 4 times a week, I eat like 2500 calories per day and I still lift heavy. i was 245 and now im 225. Idk why but I lost like 40 pounds on my bench press since i cut, I lost a lot of strength overall im wondering why. Is it becuz i do too much cardio, or should i eat more?
what you think?

Same thing happened to me when I first cut. My bench suffered for it greatly, dropped like 20lbs, And it's 40lbs now than it was when I was at my peak. I don't see myself getting back there too soon since I'm cutting again and train solely with supersets and short rest periods, Which is not the ideal way to go when you're trying to lift as much as you can.

For the test of the heart is trouble, and it always comes with years, and the smile that is worth the praises of earth is the smile that shines through the tears."

check for these:
1. too drastic of a carb reduction, lost intensity in the gym
2. too drastic of a caloric restriction.. losing too fast
3. too much workload - reduce volume, you can't handle as much when your restricted
4. EFAs covered?
it looks like you've cut successfully before.. are you not on right now? no offense.Last edited by clickclickboom; 02-09-2009 at 11:35 PM.
