Ive heard a lot about Caesin Protein and stuff but like why use it?
is it for people with really fast metabolisms?
cause i do not have a very fast metabolism and i was just wondering if i should use it
I heard that when u take Caesin before bed it keeps ur body anabolic and stuff instead of eating ur muscle but my metabolism stinks and i dont know if i should be taking caesin protein.
Is it just for people with fast metabolisms or could i use it?
Thanks in advance

metabolism has nothing to do with it. it digests very slowly and will feed your body's muscle throughout the night leaving you in a more "anabolic" state. muscle breaks down as you sleep due to the fact that you're not getting any nourishment. so, it would only make sense to take in a slow-release casein before bed to prevent muscle breakdown from happening

Wait I thought muscle repair takes place while in sleep mode. Your telling me the body eats muscle and repairs it at the same time? Maybe I'm not understanding what you are saying. Would muscle repair completely cease if no nourishment is given to the body during sleep mode. I thought it would still repair.

Exactly. Don't feel the need to eat before bed for the fear of losing muscle/catabolism. I'm surprised the supplement industry hasn't yet taken advantage of/sensationalized post-wake nutrition--"if you don't use our product right after you wake up, you catabolize, brah!"

Yeah I've been on this board too long LOL.
The idea that eating something or drinking a shake before you go to bed is ABSOLUTELY necessary or else your body is going to eat it's muscle instead of repairing it sounds a little ridiculous to me. Granted it can't hurt by any means and I actually HAVE to eat something before I go to bed or else I can't sleep for some reason. And she says it natural, I feel I've come of age, when she peaks I start to run

I say yes to casein. Whether it helps me build while I sleep I don't know. I know I sleep alot better the nights I take it before bed and that I'm not waking up with an acid filled stomach. I guess it just depends on each person. I was wondering the same thing at first so I bought a 2 pounder to try it out and now I just bought a 4 pounder. I like it.

No one is disputing the fact that extra protein/casein before bed can be beneficial. However, much like the science of PWO/glycogen depletion, facts become distorted and regurgitated falsely. If you want to use casein before bed, go ahead--it's absolutely fine. But don't go around preaching false ideas and putting fears into people with a fairytale you heard at your local gym--rather, provide us credible scientific data. And make sure that data applies to us (the majority) and not the test subjects who were severely depleted/fasted.i take it for granted that no hearer of mine will misinterpret what I have to say as the language of cynicism

None of your statements above stated "imo". If you want evidence, do your own homework and enlighten yourself. This issue has been discussed before and I'm not wasting my time with your ignorance.
Make sure to eat every 96 minutes with ample protein (no less than 2.5g/lbs everyday) and add 60g of waxy maize + 20g of glutamine or else you'll catabolize. IMO.i take it for granted that no hearer of mine will misinterpret what I have to say as the language of cynicism
