guys, quick question. I started working out last wednesday...weigh at 167lbs. I've ate super clean except for a can of Coke I had yesterday. Eating 5 smaller meals per day and keeping it under 2300 calories. I weighed myself at the gym today and I'm up to 170lbs using the same scale.
How did I gain 3lbs?

So I had the day off so I went to work out just now. I'm on flat bench and this guy on the next bench comes over and he's like .."do you want to try something different today...my workout will make you strong after a few days...you should do something different than what you are doing now and get strong."
I'm already thinking this is not going to be good. I'm like "Nah, I think I'm doing pretty good with my workouts."
He's my size, and I'm watching him to see what he's going to do. He's doing partials...or what I think are partials of partials cause the range of motion is literally an elbow bend and straighten...maybe 1inch at most. But he's got like 5 plates on each side doing this. I'm so glad I said No cause I'm not spotting stupid stuff like that that can get me hurt spotting someone.
But as expected, when I see him dropping the weight down to 185lb to try to do real reps, he can't even lower the bar to his chest and do reps cause he only works the upper range of motion.My vids
