Agree, my 10's are a total mess but I'll probably get these to compete my set.

Well, since the requirements are red and thin width, they can't be THAT much different. Considering how much cheaper Rogue's bumpers are vs. Eleiko, I would hope the PL discs are also more affordable.

It's about time there's a competitor on PL plates. I know Titan tried to join the fray but swung and missed with an ugly stick.

My thoughts exactly. I'm happy with my Rogue comp bumpers and they are very similar to the Eleiko plates but are a fraction of the cost. Looking at the 25KG plates you're looking at $295/pair from Rogue vs. $738/pair (WL comp) or $638/pair (training) from Eleiko.

I'm betting the Rogue PL plates will definitely be cheaper and be of similar quality.

Just got myself a rogue bar 2.0 the other week and it is pretty sweet. Glad that I decided to buy a new bar instead of doing a CL special. Well worth the price that I paid and as usual Rogue shipped fast and has excellent customer service.

I assume you mean the ones used at the Arnold. I doubt it - they don't even put any of the comp-used Oly bars in the closeout section. Most of their higher priced items they just keep using at different comps. Then they'll only close out games-used Ohio/Bella bars, the Crossfit games plates with the year on them, and then some of the more random implements (sand bags, wheelbarrows, etc.).

See this for the comparison. The extra length and smaller diameter are the big elements. I'm surprised the sleeve length has been dropped to 15.5". I would have thought they would have gone in the opposite direction.

Edit: Not that it really matters for me...I don't have to worry about fully loading a 15.5" sleeve in my lifetime.

smaller diameter is the only benefit I see here... not sure why they'd lengthen the bar but shrink the sleeves. i was expecting more of a mini elephant bar when i heard about the DL bar. id rather have an operator, froning, etc bar that's 28.5 and the same 190 tensile just for the extra sleeve space for a bit cheaper.

More flex. Shrinking the sleeves was to fall under max bar lengths of some federations.

It's a deadlift bar, not sure what you were expecting. It's got similar dimensions to the TDB, more loadable sleeve length, probably better fit and finish (in my experience with TPB vs. OPB) AND it's $100 cheaper.

Well, it is longer than a normal bar. But Rogue is trying to be in the PL game, so it needs to meet powerlifting federation specs (for those federations that allow a different deadlift bar).

I think the price point is great compared to the ~$400 Okie and TDBs.

Well this goes on the top of my list of things to get. Now if I can just build up enough courage to do deadlifts again!

Can I haz access to this club?

I just pulled the trigger on a whole home gym setup (power rack, adjustable bench, bumpers, bars, treadmill) which includes the Westside Power Bar, TB-2 Trap Bar, and the 2.0 Training Bumper Plates. My Rogue haul should be here within a week.

    And now I'm broke....

Deadlift bar does look nice, hard to say if it's going to be as good as the TDB though.

I've got some experience with the Rogue Ohio Bars and personally I prefer my TPB.

I do like that the deadlift bar is offered in bare steel though, and it's hard to argue with that price point. I live in a humid environment, so it requires more upkeep but I'm really looking to get more raw steel barbells in my gym and the rogue bar fits that bill.

Hopefully, we'll get some reviews up here soon.

does anyone know the length between the knurling of the texas deadlift bar? i kinda wish the Rogue DL bar had knurling that extends further towards the center for sumo deadlifts, instead of being wider. i guess that's to protect peoples' legs for conventional pulling though.

not that, you know, i need a DL bar...

I went ahead and contacted Sorinex and was able to order a set of straps. My Rogue straps are 32" long, while the Sorinex straps are 31" long (Phil at Sorinex said they usually do 1" longer than the crossmember length it'll be installed for). Came out to $55/strap + shipping ($30 to CA, pretty expensive just for straps...oh well).

    Here's a before and after...much better:

Nice setup but Those straps are grossly over priced. A 2"/3" x 31" single ply with flat eyes is maybe $30.

It is what it is. I didn't know where else to source replacement straps in a specific length.
