Question Bench- how cheap is it? is it worth it?

Hey new here. I recently began a fitness misson to lose a whole lot of weight and relaized putting muscle on is pretty much a neccessity. I have been lifting & walking (up to 3 miles 4x week). Any way i got a decent oly bar and 300 pounds, but am looking at some benches. Pretty much i am on a wally world budget.

i see a lot of benches out there and have looked at some of the prices. I am considering a Golds Gym bench (wally world) and realize it isn't a $400 or so becnh. I do see though for the prcie of about $130 or so it looks pretty strong. is there any particular reason i may not want to get it? meaning in a year or so will i be bummed etc. As for the price and the build it looks pretty hard to beat. it's at wally world online- if any one cares to take a look.

I see some others for about $250 or so but am not sure how strong the seat is. i am on a mission losing weight, but still am a little hefty. So the seat or faith in the seat is important. for at least a few more months.

I am not sure of a good product to price bench. but am open to other ideas. And criticism or good things about the benchi am considering. seems to me it is strong, and cheap. i don't think it is *too* cheap in design. But you never know, considering the store and the price. so i may do better putting a bit more $ into someting. maybe ???

I have a small home gym in progress now, without my new oly bar i just got. the link is: http://www.pbase.com/v_dave/gym

    thanks for any tips/ideas etc.

Look locally on craigslist.com and eBay. People are always selling fitness equipment for pennies on the dollar. You might find a high quality used bench for less than the cost of a new mediocre one.

    Yukon or Ader?

I see some benches that look pretty decent- the Yukon "big bear"

and an ADER both are at http://www.afitnessequipment.com/weightbenches.html

they look pretty durable. I see/know people seem to like the pwertech and the other one like it. But i don't like the seat support design.

any on ehave any ideas about the 2 i mentioned?

    thanks
