So you aren’t going to agree with this, but I think bulking is harder work than leaning out.
You know why?
Because leaning out is pretty easy in the fact that it’s pretty damn easy to skip some eating and train.
In contrast it’s a royal PITA to eat all fricking day.
I’m not talking about prepping for a contest, that’s obviously a different animal.
I’ve been fighting both being sick and arm tendinitis for about two fricken months now, this means I’ve had to lay off training very hard, it still train everyday, but backed off heavy volume and frequent intense straining. This means I haven’t been eating bread and bagels all day long. I’ve leaned out good now and kept the mass. I’m not getting bigger as fast though.
About 2-months ago I wound just force myself to eat all day, it was annoying both me and wife, but it is what it is.
I can certainly get bigger without the eating, it just takes longer.
My tendon pain is almost all gone now and my sickness. I also feel like I can eat more naturally now, without force because I’ve made some quality gains.
