Optimum Nutrition (ON) 100% Gold Standard Whey - Strawberry

I just went through a batch of this stuff. The aroma of the protein is great, so I thought I had a winner on my hands... but I'd have to say that the taste is just slightly above average.

Thus far, I have had GNC and ON Strawberry. While ON is slightly better, it shares the same metallic aftertaste as the GNC did. You can mask this if you get the mixture 'just right', unfortunately I wasn't really able to concoct that perfect mixture consistently.

Bang for your Buck - 9.5/10 - 24g of protein per 110 calories in a 30g scoop. It's going to be very hard to beat that at around $30 per 5.2lb jug.

Mixability - 7.5/10 - Above average, but I've had better.

Taste - 5.5/10 - Just above average. Metallic aftertaste is not desirable.

    Good review,
how were you mixing it milk, water, shaker, blender, spoon?
I have always had my ON mix easily in a shaker with milk.

I really like the strawberrry taste in milk found it to be a good change from chocolate and vannila

I tried mixing it with milk, as well as with water. I also did the quick-fix spoon method and the shaker as well.

For me, these strawberry flavors get tiring way faster than the chocolates and vanillas.

I agree. The smell is awesome. Even through the first 2 lb. tub I enjoyed it. It was a nice change from Chocolate. However, I'm having a time getting through the 5 lbs. I ordered. I'm only about halfway through and I'm sick of it. At 3 a day, it gets old.

Thats why I like to have some vanilla some chocolate on hand, having 2 or 3 different flavors ensures that you will never get bored of the flavors
