If you're as anxious as we are for the 2009 New York Pro, then you'll have that tingling sensation down your leg as well after looking at this year's line-up. There's going to be some HUGE BEEF up on stage with the return of Markus Ruhl standing next to Evgeny Mishkin. Then there's the giant killers such as Hidetada Yamagishi or David Henry.
This is one show you DON'T want to miss!
NY Pro Competitor List
Jose Raymond
Ahmad Haidar
Ben White
Craig Richardson
Darrem Charles
David Henry
Denis Sergovskiy
Ed Van Amsterdam
Evan Centopani
Evgeny Mishin
Francisco Bautista
Francisco Javier Mula
Gilles Bellehumeur
Hidetada Yamagishi
Jason Arntz
Kevin English
Leo Ingram
Marcus Haley (backed out to wait for tampa show)
Markus Ruhl
Michael Kefalianos
Silvio Samuel
Vincent Liu
Quote from Shawn Ray:
* I spoke with Marcus Haley at the Orlando Pro, he said he is waiting for the Tamp Pro and will not be onstage in New York.
* Richard Jones is supposed to compete as well in this show and Pittsburgh Pro 202lbs next week but word on the street is that he is NOT an IFBB Registered Athlete and is in the process of getting that sorted out now!
* I noticed several 202lbs & Under guys on this list.
Arntz, English & Henry
It is my understanding the the 202lbs & Under Guys have to choose one or the other class, No Crossovers.
* Also slated to compete: Fakhri Mubarak in the 202lbs Class.
ok guys so what gets the top five spots. my picks would be (in order)
1. silvio samuel
2. hidetaga yamagishi
3. evan centopani
4. darrem charles
5. markus ruhl

Silvio is going to win the Open class because he is just too shredded. I like some other names on the list( Evan, Ruhl, and etc), but his conditioning is crisp. The 202 class will be tough. I see Henry and English top 2 unless Correa can bring that size again.

if james is in it then that will shake up everything. i pulled this list from the MD website and his name was not on it. i hope he enters though. also bodybders who have not qualifed like johnnie jackson and gustavo badell should be in this show. but oh well. maybe the tampa show.

Alot of peeps on the Centopani bandwagon huh? I like the guy, hope he does well. But I can't call him to win when I havent seen the dude next to any of these other pro's on stage before. But if he does win his pro debut, he will have some "Heath" like pressure on his back.
If Ruhl nails his conditioning I cant imagine anyone touchin him. He's just so HYUUUUGE, guess it depends wether the judges will be on that monster mass tip, or "flowing pleasing" physique tip.
