Easy Strength 15/40
I didn't do my static stretch this morning before working out, and forgot to do upperback mobility, it's not enough to do mobility work only yet, so I'll do better this weekend. Major changes in hip flexors when foamrolling!
Front Squats took longer to get in the groove because I was a little too stiff (didn't wake up with pain today!!! YAY!)
Pull Ups were okay, I use an open grip for right, full grip for left, seems to work fine.
Overhead presses felt heavy, and my KB Swings were okay.
Funny feeling in left trap on my TRX roll outs. No likey.
Off to my sister's to celebrate her birthday!! YAY! Plus, I'll hear back from one of my job applications today. I don't think I'll get it (i've been in the middle of a minor controversy this year, and one in 2008), but who knows? We'll see. It would be great in terms of pay and travelling, but I'm not sure what kind of opportunities I would get in the first year, you know? I'll be thrilled if they have hours available to me, but I won't be heartbroken if they don't. If anything, I'll get constructive feedback to my resume and letter of motivation

are you switching off hands the open/full grip for the pullups? This technique sounds really difficult - is it something else to work towards one-arm pullups?
also, i'm guessing you wouldn't recommend jumping right into one-arm deadhangs?

No, I don't switch. I had a hard time pulling even with both hands, and I figured this might make my left arm work harder. No idea if that's gonna fly.
I had to drop the 1-arm pull up thing for a while with the injury (July 30th), will aim for that once I'm completely recovered.

Got a response from Gym 1:
They're not hiring (knew that -just wanted to let them know I was interested) and they are inclined to give the hours that are available to their employees already hired. If an opening comes up, they will definitely call me for an interview. Had my adductors needled this morning, and it twitched like crazy, but it was spot on! I hope this will be the end of that injury.

Definitely! I'm so lucky to have found my physiotherapist! she is amazing! And man... It was so good that we finally found what caused it for real. I was getting by, but not really crossing over into I'm100percentokay-land, you know? Still a bit scared to get up from a parallel box to feel that pinched nerve again.

Sent my thesis to my second set of proofreaders. Whew. Now I'm working on my take home exam on Borders, and am thinking I should try to cut bread out again as much as possible. Left hip is not painful, but I can definitely tell somethingi is readjusting: stiff!! Hams are tight, glutes are stiff, and even lowerback is acting up. It's okay, but whew!
Hope to get a workout in today.

Went in to loosen up, bascially
Front squats up to 40kgs
Pull Ups 5/5
OHP felt heavy-ish at 14kgs,
Snatches w. 16 not great
Ditched the roll outs because I was sore and stiff.
I love high knee raises + spiderman walks + overhead reach + hip lifts as a warm up complex. excellent!!

YAY! I was a little c oncerned yesterday, as one of my muscles was extremely stiff and twingy and my psoas needed stretching throughout the day, but it's so much better today that I'm excited about lifting!! MAJOR improvement!

Easy STrength 17/40
I'm loving the changes in my legs after needling. My warm up felt wonderful! Spiderman Walks combining High KNee Raises, Hip Lifts and Overhead Reaches, Hip Swivels, lying shoulder stretches and shoulder dislocations. Forgot my ankle mobility work.
Front Squats w. 50kgs again
Pull Ups were okay
Overhead Presses felt hard
Bumped snatches up to 22 reps w. 16 kgs, and dropped roll outs. Just to be safe.
Also visited Rugby Kid's game. Noticed his slow starting speed and his tendency to not drive from the hips/glutes in a scrum (AND tends to round lowerback there + high traps on runs). I suspect he pulls on his quads when running, rather than pushing with the glutes. We'll see. IT's a difficult game and relies a lot on confidence and experience. Definitely! Such a relief that I'm getting rid of those final difficulties that caused everything! I'm also surprised how easy the Easy STrength progress feels and the progress I'm making at that as well. (Did loads of stretching day 1 after needling, this day much less, but still needs maintenance)

Wanted to go and lift today, but I think i'll stay home and read my articles a bit more and kick ass tomorrow. Had a talk with the on campus rugby team, who was much more positive than before, and will inform their trainer. Also, another needling session, and I think she hit another core trigger. WHOOOT!

Didn't warm up thorough enough, should've rolled adductors, BUT: they felt so good after yesterday!
Front squats - need to stay very alert about evenly dividing weight over feet.
Pull Ups 5/5 fairly easy
Ovehead Presses -okay
KB Swings: 24kg, 25 reps(!)
Finished workout. Still scared to try roll outs. Might try them tomorrow anyway.
Starting on Q1 and Q2 for my take home exam, need to finish them before 1530hrs, so I can start on Q3 tonight. I'm badass. Something like that. Swings felt AWESOMELY light1 Might try 28 next time.Last edited by Euqinom; 10-30-2012 at 12:00 PM.

Easy Strength 19/40
Super easy front squats! Whoot! Different warm up, rolling glutes, first adductor stretch, then walking spiderman, felt really good.
Pull Ups were just okay
OHP's slightly easier,
KB Snatches wobbly on right (was needled and I neglected activation work)
Roll outs suck.
Getting better at standing long bow as well. ±'
