Brady and Belly are something else. Who would have thought the leading receiver would be the backup running back out of the UW? 14 catches, 3 touchdowns. They just continue to tweak to find what works. They could've used GRONK.

Think they said something like Atlanta has only 1 major sport championship, the braves in the 90s... think they spit that out when they were up big and ready to congratulate.

Definitely working for you.
A big loss. Whenever his name comes up I think of Anthony who was very close to him. I know what it's like to lose a best friend suddenly like that and the only thing I can come up with on a positive note is that you always remember them the way they were unlike watching a person waste away from cancer. I had a close call myself 10 years ago almost to the day. Can't take anything for granted.
Taking a trip down memory lane it was great how back then about 15 of us all closely followed each other's journals, shared training information in here, and kept each other focused and motivated. They were good times.

Life is a strange thing. Last month my brother called me up to try to talk me into visiting him to play in a Magic the Gathering tourny. Two days later he passed away. In the sea of sadness it was truly a joy that after they took him off the ventilator and sedation, he was lucid for a few hours. I had found out I was going to be a grandpa and I was able to tell him. You really can't take take life for granted.

Not.... really. I would say more than 10 years in the weight room, I kinda have experience in customizing my own workouts. Cookie cutters no matter how good they are would lose their effectiveness as a trainee continues improving.
Anyway, been going good. Deadlift at 3.2x bw, squat more than 2x bw and all that. Still lots more room for improvement.*Someday I want to meet this "Everyone," he seems to have written so very much, yet all of it is wrong.

Most guys in their late 30s talk about "when they used to lift" so you're already way ahead of them not to mention a lot of people in the gym are simply going through the motions.
Beyond a certain point making progress is more about avoiding injuries than anything else but no question your mindset is critical.
Developing an obsession with making improvements every week/month no matter how small. Adding a couple of lbs to a PR. An extra rep or two. Doing an extra set. Squeezing more out of the weight you're moving with better form. List goes on.

Agree! I'm 38 already, and age be damned cos I don't feel it, I am aware of my limitations and vulnerabilities. I cannot do this "steady bulking" anymore as I'm very close to my genetic potential. I'd rather focus more on performance in the weight room than the weighing scale. That, and the changes in the mirror.
Is it... permissible to share insta links here Dom? If it's not allowed do delete. Would like to share a little my progress here.

Btw, it's good to see some of the old regs still posting here. I miss the ones who have went off though.*Someday I want to meet this "Everyone," he seems to have written so very much, yet all of it is wrong.

Always welcome to post this stuff. Solid lifting DL. Only thing I would keep an eye on with the squats is knees drifting slightly inward.
Nothing humble about repping a DL 7x with almost 3x your bw. Great job.
Miss all those people as well. Hopefully over time a few will check in and post again even if it's the occasional drive by.
