Curious what the increase will be for monster version. Because those attachments (monster series) all have plastic in back to protect upright... And their locking pin won't work the way they have it now. The 1" pins are quite a bit longer, to accept the hairpin at the end. I assume they'll just drop the 2nd hole another 2 or 4".

It will work, but I'm sure they are just being extra cautious since the weights actually swing back when you re-rack. Do you have weights stored on your rack to weigh it down any?
I hope someone buys this newer design and reports back. I'd love to hear some feedback on it.Equipment Crew #68, Ivanko Crew #47, Rogue Barbell Club #7, Mech6 Crew #30

I see what you mean, hadnt thought about the fact that it swings back with the weights on it. I am not currently storing plates on it because it seems like doing so would either interfere with bench press or squats depending on placement. I have read about others storing plates on it and not interfering but I just can't picture it so I haven't invested in the storage bars to experiment with.

on ******** rogue said they were going to make an adapter for the infinity series. not sure what that will look like but I asked them.
I don't even need a monolift and don't compete in federations that allow a monolift so I'm probably better off never getting one and walking everything out, but I may not be able to help myself if there is an adjustable infinity version.435/259/551 S/B/D @ 197

Looks like the new trap bar snuck out:
$345 plus freight shipping. Freight shipping is $133 to Florida so you're looking at nearly $500.
They acknowledge their ****ty powder coating:
PLEASE NOTE: Because the TB-2 Trap Bar is finished in our Rogue signature black powder coat, any metal-to-metal contact with the coated sleeves (such as adding and/or removing plates) may cause wear on the finish over time.█════█ Rogue Barbell Club #12 █════█

I don't know of any other rackable trap bars w/ raised handles. York and Cap make trap bars with raised handles (York's also has a kickstand), but neither are rackable, IIRC.
That said, I'd imagine Dean can add raised handles to his regular rackable hex bar, and probably come in under $500.
As for their powder coating, I only have a Matador to compare, but I've found it to be inferior to my BWTG pieces. The coating on my Matador has chipped in several spots.──<//>─<\\>── BWTG Cluster #2 ──<//>─<\\>──

I bought the Slayer Barbell Rackable Hex Bar (it has raised handles). I'm not sure what's going on at Slayer Barbell since many of their product are currently out of stock but the price of the bar is $349 with free shipping (I think there is also a coupon code available for it (I used "INTENSE" FOR 10% off)).
Positives:
Jim @ Slayer answered all questions promptly
"Normal" Olympic plate loading end diameter (Prolocs and Olympic (non-specialty) Lock Jaws work on the bar)
Weighs 45 lb
84" long
Packaging was the best I have ever seen fitness equipment shipped in (almost zero chance of damage during shipping)
Solid welds
Nice, even, mildly aggressive knurl
Nice finish on center portion (see Negative about the plate loaded ends)
Price (at $314 + free shipping)
Negative (just one issue):
Painted plate loaded ends has flaked off on one 1"x2" area - does not seem like a real problem because no rust developing since I use it twice a week.
Overall, I am very happy and have no regrets with the bar.Last edited by jedpop; 07-02-2015 at 07:43 AM. Reason: Added that ends are "normal" olympic

From their ******** page it looks it was a small side business and it didn't survive the move from Illinois to Florida. That's a shame.

I'm hoping Rogue puts on a "Free Shipping" deal for the 4th of July, but I'm not holding my breath. Do they typically only have sales on Black Friday?

I got recently got a Rogue flat bench and 160lb set of Echo bumpers. That makes 3 Rogue pieces for me, so I guess I should request a Rogue number now.

Checking in. Finally back at it, and finished my first week on my Rogue equipment. Quality all around. Two controlled dump outs on my SML-1 during squats and the rack handled them like a champ.
The Ohio Power is awesome, although having a quality center knurl will take some getting used to. My traps were rubbed raw during skwatts today. Had to use a manpon for my accessory squat work, it was that distracting. I will also add that even keeping the bar coated in a relatively humid free basement, the bare steel bar is a bitch to keep from oxidizing. When I wipe the bar down, the rag usually comes off red.
Any suggestions? Is WD40 not optimal?▪█─────█▪ Rogue Barbell Club #998 ▪█─────█▪
