Yeah, getting to the finals and losing is better than losing before the finals. I'm only going to Jordan losing early in the playoffs because other people keep going to Kobe not being undefeated in the finals, as if that somehow matters. Unless someone comes along to win a championship every season they're in the league, losing in the finals is the 2nd best outcome you can possibly have in a season.



And MJ had Pippen for 6 and Rodman for 3. They've both had strong players around them.

Kobe has been out performed by teammates in 5 out of his 7 NBA Finals appearances, Michael Jordan was never out performed by a teammate. Michael Jordan never had a teammate average over 20.0ppg in any NBA Finals who shot a higher percentage than him, Kobe’s had a teammate do this 4 times (Gasol doesn’t get enough shot attempts or it would be 7 times).

Michael Jordan’s teams were never eliminated after full seasons from Jordan when he had a championship caliber team around him, Kobe Bryant’s teams have lost twice in the playoffs with him as the leader and he had championship caliber teammates.' once jordan got the right cast built around him he didn't lose. kobe did. do you know why? because a lot of the time kobe wasn't the driving force behind the championships like jordan was. these things affect your legacy.

it would be an accurate thing to say though, the only difference is that jordan has a place at goat table whereas kobe does not. a legitimate argument can be made for kobe somewhere in the #5-10 range. anything outside of that and it is a bit of a stretch.

To some it may be a stupid question. But think about it times have changed and the nba has advanced and is alot more competitive now. Theres no denying jordan is the goat and i'm not saying he had it easy when he played but i'm just wondering if you think he would still be considered in such high regards as he is now. Lets be honest he is the goat by unanimous decision (with kobe second ofc). Would he be as dominant today or would players such as lebron kobe give him trouble to earn the prestigious GOAT title

Kobe is not the best 2000s player. Duncan was easily better. Iverson and Garnett are also up there with. Jordan would dominate but no way he averages over 35 PPG. I'll definitely take prime Shaq over Jordan or Kobe
