To be 100% honest, i don't even consider american cars when I look at them so I assume no one else does either. I know the new ones are pretty damn nice though so I'm going to need to revise that position.
Also, they are sort of in totally different markets, who actually goes shopping for a bmw and also considers buying a challenger SRT8? And its not a strong bias, you showed me one example where I was wrong.... that doesnt even apply since its a completely different type of car but still works, try to find another.
Edit*
I don't even like BMW's particularly btw, I just like the 335i because it is easy to mod to high numbers and the e92 looks amazing imo

srt 8 brah, take a loot at it after 10 years and the build quality
take a look at the build quality of american cars, there is a reason the bmw costs almost twice as much, I am not biased but if you wrench on cars and work on cars, you will literally laugh at American engineered cars.EX YU Mafia #1 ----Cant Touch Us----

Its not important what they say behind my back, what is Important is whether they stop talking and look down when I turn around.

Extremely confident in the corners. Rides great. Interior is perfectly fine for what I use it for (a fun car). Handles close to my E36 M3 if not better. Hangs with a coworker's 335i in the corners with no problem.... add a suspension to it and it would be beast. On that note have you seen what the Boss 302's do at the track?
But I love the shyt talk from those who have never driven let alone owned both, all I can do is sit back and lol.
You see, I'm over owning a car for looks and perceived "status". I drive whats fun as **** and still puts the smack down on the majority of other cars out there. I've been on both sides. Owning a car isn't about who drops the most money to me.
I've seen it time and time again, but fact is, if you lose you lose - doesn't matter what you drive. You could drive a pristine new M3 and get spanked by a slightly modified newer Mustang... it's just as embarrassing to you as your girl and all you look like is the douchebag who dropped 60k on a car that can't beat a car half that price. You still lost. Your girl is still embarrassed.
Now before someone says it, I could have bought a new M3, but didn't. BMW isn't cutting it for me anymore. Their M cars aren't what they once were, and it's just loads more and more tech with less... well... car. Maybe when they go back to that, or bring a CSL version here then I would jump back on board.

"GT500 blasts from 0-60 mph in a scant 3.5 seconds, on toward a quarter-mile time of 11.6 seconds at 125.7 mph

not a mustang fan boy but 2013 the gt500 is a whole new car

Matte finish covered in extraordinary amounts of brake dust (brb weeks without a wash = stock wheel finish turned jet black). It was between that or gloss and obv picked matte. Hindsight being 20/20 says shoulda had them done in gloss (see my 1st post for car I want mine to look similar to)
Oh, and wrong my manlet friend. Bought it my damn self at 19 in february when I was working at State Farm as an insurance producer. I wanted a challenger but didn't want to settle for the v6 or R/T. Couldn't finance the SRT-8 /sadface
