This thread is a good read. I feel like I've had two of the best months of my life this Jan/Feb but still looking for ways to improve.
-I have a better handle on getting myself out of bed when my alarm goes off in the morning, but still find myself sleeping through it if I'm not asleep by midnight.
-I have been much better about getting my school work done early or on time this semester instead of scrambling at the last minute. I had two bad tests to start the semester but again, it's a learning experience and I'm planning on starting earlier this time.
-I have a new girlfriend that has been great to me. She keeps me extremely happy and has been a big help in getting myself organized. This is the first time in years my entire apartment is clean and I don't have a single loose paper in my backpack.
-I've gotten better with managing my money, and I'm not scraping at the end of the month nearly as badly as before.
I have some pretty substantial goals set for myself for my spring break starting in one week. 40+ hours a week at work, working on an automotive side project with a friend, getting my daily driver in much better working order, beginning preparations on my show car for the summer, more cleaning/organizing in my apartment, work on my capstone project, study for upcoming exams, and a few snowmobiling days sprinkled in there. I know I'll go back and finish the semester on a high if I can accomplish all of these things in 2 weeks.
The only thing I feel I'm missing right now is the gym. I generally am preoccupied with school and/or work from 8am-9 or 10pm every day minus weekends when I catch up from the week and recharge. I probably won't get back in until the summer, but I'm already looking forward to it and hope that motivates me to start strong again.
Good job to all the success stories I'm reading in here, they are motivating! He that lives upon hope will die fasting. -Benjamin Franklin

Positive crew checking in. The right mindset can make or break you.. you need to be positive and believe in yourself. You'd be surprised at how much you can achieve. This is why I think a lot of immigrants int he US are so successful. They have this mindset coming here, that's what brought them to leave their own country, that positive mindset and hard work is irreplaceable. I started thinking like this about a year and 2 months ago.. I stopped smoking pot, I quit the profession I was in and thru persistence I landed a dream job with the potential to make 100k+, I lost 25ish lbs and am in the best shape of my life(strongest and leanest), and the future is just looking great for me. Every day you need to beat the chit out of life and believe nothing can stop you.

Remember.. A good HAIRCUT is so important for your appearance. I just got one and look so much better.. Huge improvement. People who look like they take care of themselves or are trying to look good are always perceived as more attractive than their "rating" would typically indicate

Hitting the gym later tonight, and just got some work with a construction company.. A VERY big company, and my aunt is personal friend of the owner, who the company is named after.. Seems like a great opportunity, and I am going to be getting my contractor's license in the near future

Good morning.. Slept in today, although I was still lifting weights 11 hours ago, so I would say it was much needed. Going to work out again today and have many small tasks to do, but unless I find some labor work, I am off today as a contractor I was working with rescheduled for tomorrow. Can't really complain. What are you all up to today

2 weeks sober today. Sleep is starting to normalize. Overall energy is still pretty low. But the worst part is starting to pass now I think...

The worst part has already passed.. The part where you were using. Things will only get better from here.. Just wake up early every day and immediately drink a couple tall glasses of water, and force yourself to do things during the day. It'll come back to you, and you'll be back to being "you."

Just got home from a MURDEROUS shoulder/bi workout, literally best I have had in a long time. Shoulder pressed 80's for 6 reps at the peak of my weight, and just did high-volume raises and preacher/hammer curls. So pumped, and now drinking a 60G protein shake (just got protein powder). I am getting in the best shape of my life

It's good to just stop. Last night I had one beer, that was the second time I have had a drink in a month (had two beers the other time). I guess that is what drinking like an "adult" means.. Because I certainly used to party like a college kid, and, looking back, that isn't me. Even though there were some good times.. That has never been me

Constantly repeating "I'm gonna make it" in my head, sounds stupid but it works.
Also going to stop putting my hands in my pockets, this should help me look a little more confident.only 1730s kids will get this

Whatever works, man! It's not about what you've done, it's about what you're doing.. I have made a point to go out and run random errands and just talk to more people, and it's going well. Maybe you might wanna do the same.. Contrary to what the misc preaches, people are really quite nice

Had an epic leg day yesterday, did more sets and more reps; Hams and glutes are sore for the first time since summer. Also two tests next week and I'm going to a study group session today. never went to these before, but these things rule!
next step, consistently take multi; drink more water; eat more veggies; reduce sugar/caffeine; add daily meditation before bed; cut out ********, tv, and misc expect only bookmarking this thread.~LA misc~

Went to the grocery store.
Brought some kale and butter. Going to up the vegetable intake.
Woke up took an ice cold shower.
Started to do more Dual N Back to improve intelligence (had brain concussion)
Going to destroy this assignment, and be grateful for the chance I've had at a good life.
Gotta get the fundamentals down before giving to others.

Thanks bro. The worst is for sure over no doubt. Now I'm simply dealing with PAWS. It sucks but its nothing I can't handle.
I need new clothes too. Little things like that go a long way actually. Even just a new pair of shoes. Looking good doesn't always necessarily mean you'll feel good (I know this more than most too lol), but I always try to look my best because it can aid slightly in feeling better mentally, no matter how bad you feel. Better to look good and feel bad, then look bad and feel bad. Sometimes faking it can help you. Its a mental thing.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240
