Mirin' that sea master HAAAAARD. My grandpa just gave me his old Rolex (really want a sea master but w/e) and it's old so it runs on batteries well it stopped the other day. So what do i do? I heard batteries are super expensive for them. Any advice?

dat caseback! i dont know why but i place alot of stock in how the caseback looks to me. any watch must have a good looking caseback for me to want it. and this is one of the best. i was offered a speedy at a VERY good price but i did not get it just because it did not have this caseback lol.

exactly. another small thing is focus on is the clasp. really like solid, machiened clasps rather than pressed steel ones. one of the best ones is the seamater clasp. thick tight solid.
cartier also makes good clasps.
i know its wierd lol but these are small things that make a big difference to me regarding a watch, more than whether it loses a few seconds every day or sth.

Why must one of my favorite watches be for sale after I just spent $700 on christmas crap this weekend?! FML
$625 is such a good price too. So, so tempted to buy it anyways.

lol went to the one in King of Prussia saturday AM. They'd just re-organized their display...to make more room for Brietlings and B&R's however i did see a blancpain in the pre-owned display
the rolex section is in a seperate section but i didn't go look.
one thing i don't understand from the Tourneau mailings i get are the pages for Invictas, swiss legends and technomarines. wtf?----------------------

well what do we have here. a PAM-318, that goes for ~$7000.
with a nice engraved back.
the owner opens it up and sees that the movement looks like this:
IMO that is just plain wrong. ive seen $100 fakes with a better movement than this. no $5k watch should have a movement like that. period. makes me rage.
and before anyone starts saying its fake, it not. look into it if you want.

there was a big fuss about that pam318 believe, i read somewhere that they were offering to switch out the movements to people who made a fuss about it, because they disappointed alot of people putting that ****ty movement , i could be wrong, but remember reading somewhere that panerai offered , but not openly willing to switch out movements.

Yea.
The older people and the women at that location don't really know anything beside the fact that Rolexes are in "investment". In general, 9/10 people in sales are just there to sell and don't really know anything about the product. This expands outside of the realm of watches to thing like cars and stuff.
If you end up going today, speak to Kyle. He is a gentleman in his 30s or so and has a bald head. That guy knows his stuff. The two times I went in there to speak with him, he was wearing an AP RO and a GO moonphase. The last time I was in there was about three months ago, but I haven't received a call back since then (went in there to look at an IWC yacht club and said he would give me a call when he got them in).Creator of:

Lady friend wants a watch for Christmas; needs to be simple. She would buy a $15 watch if it were her. Should I stick to Seiko & Citizen? There should not be a difference between markets for each sex

It's easy to buy nice stuff when you still live at home with your parents, don't budget for s**t, and save for one particular thing. I have several friends in their mid-20's who roll around in turbocharged and supercharged cars, always have the nicest phones, constantly buying expensive stuff, and they can afford it all because they still live with their parents who aren't making any effort toward encouraging them to get their own place or think about the future.
If I still lived with my dad, I'd free up about 1200 dollars a month that I could blow on all kinds of junk I don't need.Sometimes force makes up for bad technique
