i pulled out 225x5 last week, feels good mane

I did 235x5@155lbs

Now, I can only do 235x2@165lbs. Heavier and yet weaker bench than before, at least my back and legs are stronger.


Jan-April I was doing lots of cardio(biking 60-90 minutes a day), rock climbing and leg rehab so my leg put on some size but my pushing strength suffered.

My height isn't the same as you. To be equivalent to you in term of mass I would need to be 185ish at least.
That being said, I can still go over 200 but I don't max out on a cut. 1700cals a day can get tedious.

I think he is actually talking about having less LBM than you do because you have a smaller frame... Isn't that what you meant Pauly? He specifically said mass, never said anything about ROM.

Also... you can't compare lifts to someone else. Period. You don't know how long he has been lifting, what his background is, whether he was into sports or heavy labour, etc etc etc. You don't know how he trains. He cycles through bulks and cuts and THAT makes a difference.

Larger ROM makes a huge difference. There's a reason manlets are stronger p4p @ squat/bench press and why manmores can usually dl 225+ the first time they ever try it if they aren't auschwitz mode (before manlets made up sumo deadlift to compensate anyways). Body mechanics don't go out the window because you want them to lol.

I'm thinking it has to do with optimal height to weight ratio. Somebody who is 5'2" and 180 is going to be stronger than someone that is 6'2" and 180.

Saying you're not as strong because you weigh less just means you prioritize cutting and being lean over being strong.

When I started lifting as a wrestler we used this chart as a baseline:

Men

5’1-5’3 – 56-62kg
5’3-5’6 – 69kg
5’6-5’8 – 77kg
5’8-5’10- 85kg
5’10-6′ – 94kg
6′ – ? – 105/105+

Women
4’10-5’1 – 48-53kg
5’2-5’3 – 58 kg
5’3-5’4 – 63kg
5’4-5’5- 69kg
5’6-5’8 – 75kg
5’9 – ? – 75+

Note: This was a guidline for athletes, outliers always exist. Also, I've noticed that bodybuilders tend to run heavier than wrestlers as mass is their primary concern.

Just trying to maintain decent strength and gain 5-10lbs over the next 2.5 months. Then I'm gonna do bodyweight workouts while I'm on crutches and do a 20lb cut to get ~8% bf.

A 165lb 5 8 person should be stronger than a 6ft 175lb person.

I wrestled for a year when I was 10 and another year in high school when I was 14. Was the mvp wrestler at my high school because I was the only one to get wins at provincials. Wrestled at 5' 38kg, luckily I've gained 9 inches and 80+lbs since then.

19months of lifting.

I spent the major part of the 1st year correcting my skinnyfat physique. I went from 185 to 140. Then I worked my way back up to 170. I cut the extra bodyfat and ended up 160lbs 11%bf. 2nd Bulk brought me up to 180lbs and now shedding the extra bodyfat before proceeding to a 3rd bulk. I'm never letting myself go over 15% again. My training was never centered around big numbers. I do enjoy them and try to reach good lifts but have little to no interest in power lifting.

Fawn and others pretty much covered up what I meant by my previous post. I think you were a bit too quick on the drawn and immediately went full angry teen on me by assuming I was poking fun at your height. In fact, you will be hard pressed to find any posts of mine making fun of a guy for his height or weight in a serious manner.

As for my wing span, my rom or the size of my dick, they are all assumptions you made and clearly were of no relevance to both the context and validity of my statement.

I suppose I don't hate them for being manlets. The attitude that many of them have is frustrating.

Being 6'4" and 230 lbs and having to deal with a sub 200 lb ******* who is mouthing off to you IRL will piss you off. I mean you could easily break the weak little chit, but know they'll throw the book at you for using excessive force on somebody so much smaller and weaker than you. Many little dudes will take advantage of this, knowing they're unlikely to receive the beating that they are literally begging for.

There are, of course, many cool small guys. But it is always the smallest most frail dogs who yap the loudest and most aggressively.

So, in a way, I suppose I am serious about that kind of chit.
