I'm in on this log. You've made good progress on this program so far. And I'm the same way on rows. I feel like its not even hitting my back. I tried reverse grip the other day and there was a definite difference. I'm going to do them reverse grip from now on.

Also, there was some powerlifting guy at my gym today. It kinda surprised me because my gym is more of a fitness center with a decent selection of free weights.
He was rocking the inzer shirt, converses, some intra workout drink, gallon jug of water, wrist and knee wraps, belt, and some other **** in his gym bag.
Looked pretty big too, i didnt get to see him lift much since he was just leaving.
Wondering if he visits bb.com now"Every great achievement was once considered impossible."

All sets are 5 reps and weights are in pounds
Squats
135
185
215
215
Incline Bench
45 pound DBs x5
60x5
70x5
85x5
Deadlifts
135
225
275
315
360
3 sets of sit ups
Overall workout: 9/10 I was expecting more on DBs, but still very to be putting up the 85s. Deadlifts were tough. I think all 5 reps were grinders. Although on the last rep i tried starting with the bar 3-4 inches further away from my leg and it felt alot easier compared tot he 4 before it. So ill be trying that next week.
Also, short rant/story coming. When i started incline bench these two guys were standing by the squat rack just talking to each other and leaning against it. I didnt really care then because the other squat rack was open. When i finish bench 10-15 minutes later those two guys are still talking. As i head for the open squat rack and real old guy walks up in really short shorts. He then proceed to stretch every muscle in his body for a good 10 minutes, and then puts 10s on the bar and does military press. Meanwhile the two other guys are still talking.
Not wanting to be a dick i figured that they would be done in a minute or two and id start deadlifting. Well, after 5 minutes they finally finish talking and the one guy proceeds to do one warm up set of military press with the bar and says hes done.

Thanks, madcows is befeintly working pretty good for them
Im kind of second guessing doing 5/3/1. From what i hear its gives you results over a long period of time. Depending on how long i can stay on madcows i might only have a couple months left and i dont know if thats a long enough time to see good results. Also, judging fromt he gains im making now, i think i can benefit more from something that increases the weights faster per week
dont know what im going to do yet, right now 5/3/1 is still my first choice after madcows though"Every great achievement was once considered impossible."

strong numbers bra, especially considering you're doing a 5x5
i've tried madcows 5x5 twice lasting of at least 2 months each time and I just dont get the results I would be getting if I just stuck to a different fullbody routine. very strange for me, oh well haha. maybe I should have stuck with the routine longer? eh what do I know.
good work bra

Thanks, thats weird that it didnt work for you though
Maybe it was the low reps?
Also, my CoC #1 gripper came today, i can close it about 3-4 times with maybe 1mm of space with my right hand and about 3-4 times with about half a centimeter with my left hand.
I can fully close it 1-2 times with each hand."Every great achievement was once considered impossible."

Dear Enigma -
I still don't like you from when you negged me for saying that squats work hamstrings more than glutes if you do them "right". Define right - Olympic squats = more quads. Plus you were just a dick in general. Right, so, neg me, leave some love"This awful city, it screams like an abattoir full of retarded children"

I dont remember saying squats work hamstrings more than glutes. I probably did say that they work hamstrings more than quads though (unless youre doing them for bodybuilding)
Also, thats not the only reason i negged you (if i even negged you because of that). I negged you because all of your posts were dumb as shit
btw, whatever happened to you coming back and being bigger than everyone in the teen section"Every great achievement was once considered impossible."

Thanks for the compliments
If i hit 240x5 on bench on monday ill break my old PR of 240x4 from back in june. If i hit 300x5 on monday ill tie my old PR from back in june.
Big day on monday
Also, i forgot to comment about this in my original update, but i tried something a little new on bench. I really focused on using my lats alot to try and be more explosive. I could definitely feel the weight go up faster and easier so ill have to keep practicing itLast edited by .Enigma.; 01-16-2010 at 06:57 PM.

My foam roller came in today
It hurt like hell using it, especially along the IT band. But now my legs feel so good, i dont even know how to describe it. Its definitely worth the pain
