Great car for a daily and can be an absolute beast vs 90% of what's allowed on public roads. What year is the 135 (this will determine if it is the twin turbo N54 or Twin-Scroll single turbo N55).
Most of the major issues involve the HPFP (High Pressure Fuel Pump) failures, Water Pump failure, bad injectors, wastegate rattle on the N54 turbos, squeeky stock brakes, valve cover gasket leak, oil filter housing gasket leak, and carbon build up (common for ANY direct injection motor).
If you are at all handy with tools, these cars are fairly easy to DIY maintain and fix. Online forums are very strong for the cars and you can find out pretty much anything you need from them. I have a 335 now and envy the lighter 135. As stated, grab a JB4 and some basic bolt ons for more power, tune for E85 if available, and enjoy.

Went through bad injectors, valve cover leak, oil filter housing leak, ditched stock brakes, boost leak etc.
I have also taken it to the track, out in 8+ inches of snow, spirited drives on back roads, and beaten some very quick cars. All this in a daily driver that will get props from all types of car enthusiasts.
I love my 335, BMW nailed it with the E9x and E8x generation.

12-20-2014, 01:26 AM #1268READ THIS: You know how your Visa gift cards usually end up with $0.63 left on them, so then you carry them around for months before you eventually just throw them away? Well, Tarck's here to tell you that most charities have a PayPal link on their website where you can quickly donate that balance (even if you don't have a PayPal account). It only takes a moment and it beats literally throwing money away. Thanks for your time; we now return to your regularly scheduled cuckold and FA threads.

BMW 335i crew I hope you can provide insight on a couple of questions...
1) what are common breakage items in a 2014/15 335i...
2) What has ownership been like?
3) I test drove one a while back and it felt a tad sloppy in the handling what are the commonly know fixes to tighten them up?
Thanks for any insight/answers...

Will get negged, don't care.
My 02 e39 with 165k on the odo (handed down from my Dad) just took a massive ****. While driving it last night, one of the belts came loose and hit the radiator and prevented the radiator from doing it's job. Coolant spewed everywhere. Just had the entire cooling system redone last summer. Parents don't want to put anymore money into the car to fix it - fine by me.
Mom was suggesting on getting another car with a budget of $8k-$9k. I'm a 4th year med student about to graduate this summer, and was hoping to get a bit of a nicer car compared to a budget of something <$10k. Figured atleast working hard, my parents could get me something nice, without me having to ask for it.
Feel bad asking them for a BMW, considering they paid the tuition for my grad school. My classmate who didn't even match last year, his parents bought him and his brother BMWs.

GLut - 10k can get plenty of decent cars. Get something you won't have to worry about, the last thing you need as a student is something you've gotta wonder about. Pick up a clean prius or mini cooper, save on gas, just change the oil and be good until you have a career under way.

I want a F30 328i xDrive in the worst way once they hit the CPO lots.
Just need to justify it. Can't with what has been (knock on wood) a bulletproof car with 38k miles on it.GO BROWNS!

2010 Fusion SEL. It's not sporty and it's gutless but it gets the job done. Paid off and I haven't had a single problem with it outside of a braking issue covered by warranty.
I enjoy good fuel economy plus the 335i isn't much faster than the 328 and it's more nose heavy.GO BROWNS!

Anyone drive both a F10 5 Series and a F30 3 Series?
I know the 3 Series is more sporty but from what I've read, the 5 Series feels more "solid." I like that the 5 Series comes with HIDs standard and LED tail lights (good luck finding a CPO 3 Series with HIDs when the lease specials out there mostly have halogens).GO BROWNS!
