Really good read for all longterm relationships not just marriages.

It's interesting though. A lot of the stuff can just apply as "If you're not telling your wife/husband how great they are, there will be someone out there who will". When an affair (not so much a momentary indiscretion but a long-term deceit) happens, it's usually more of a side effect of a doomed relationship, and not the cause.

It's all about putting forth effort. In many cases in a good relationship it doesn't really feel like effort. It is just what feels right and good at the moment.

This is true. It should come as common sense but I think as resentment/boredom grows in relationships, people stop listening to that voice that says "don't nag, don't namecall, go on a date" until it gets smaller and smaller.

Lots of strong wind here is all, 30mph today and supposed to be 60 tomorrow. The north half are supposed to get it worse than us though. They are calling for our first snow this week also, last week it hit 80 almost every day.

This. I bought some, made them, and they weren't horrible, but they definitely could have used something extra.

As for my neck of the woods, rain finally stopped, but the wind is getting worse. Actually had a big tree fall on my house an hour ago. Don't think there is much damage beyond a really big tree on my house, but it sounds like the wind is getting worse by the minute. Surprised I still have power and internet.

I remember being at a party once and a guys jacket caught on fire from a candle. There was a bit of a panic while we put him out. He kept partying with a big burnt hole in his clothes!

In Texas you do not evacuate for 90 mile hour winds. When it hits 150 you think about it.
