A lot of math going on, this guy beat that guy therefore this guy would lose to this guy who beat that guy etc.
It doesn’t work that way.
If you want a simple way to find out, You just do an eye test. Show your friend or family member who is objective and never watches fights a highlight of both fighters. He or she will say in about two seconds Tyson wins. Same like if you show anyone a highlight video of Jordan vs Lebron. It’s obvious who the better player is.

I always thought Ali would be too smart for Tyson. Ali beat some much bigger stronger opponents and was durable. I thought Ali could weather the storm and start picking him apart.
But you guys have made some great points. You can't deny the Tyson eye test.
Fwiw I think Tyson struggles with the modern era big boys.

Ali would win in the 12th or 15th round. Ali already fought Mike Tyson, watch the 3 fights vs. Joe Frazier. Second, Ali could take a punch. Mike Tyson has a glass jaw. Ali has the reach, the height and the movement.
Foreman, Frazier, Norton, Liston....Ali had to fight real guys. Not ham and eggers like Tex Cobb.

Eye test matters. But if it makes you feel better pretty much every competitive fighter I ever asked this in between the rounds of rolling and sparring was always swinging on Tyson’s nuts. And I can understand that,
If you watch any fighter you can kinda imagine how someone would fight them, what game plan would make sense, but when you watch prime Tyson the only thing you can think of is this is terrifying and I don’t want to be in the same ring as this animal. Dude was built like a brick and was way too fast and strong early on.

The "eye-test" is fuking moronic. It's the ultimate Dunning-Kruger archetype of a spectator's incorrectness being directly related to their level of ignorance in a specific field. In other words, an "eye-test" might make sense if that person conducting the "eye-test" is a fuking expert but going to a fuking random bum and asking them which fighter is best and then using their opinion as fact is hilariously retarded.
Stop posting dude, sit the rest of the morning out.

Lads lets be realistic. The only way Ali survives is if he keeps Tyson on the outside. How is he going to do that? He wasn't powerful enough to put a bull like Tyson on the backfoot. Tyson would walk into the pocket, take a couple shots on the way in and start landing. He was powerful, explosive and accurate. Ali would be dropped on his ass.

Tyson with his trainer Cus D'amato would kill Ali.

Ali would play rope a dope and tire him out.
https://youtu.be/eIm2eK5uuVA Ali/Frazier 1 Frazier wins
https://youtu.be/maA4QACDXOY Ali/Frazier 2 Ali wins
https://youtu.be/6pi-ax7e-6U Thrilla in Manila Ali/Frazier 3 Ali wins.
These fights were for 15 rounds.
Ali also fought and lost a SPLIT DECISION to Ken Norton with a BROKEN JAW
https://sports.yahoo.com/this-day-in...172822887.html
Norton broke Ali’s jaw in that fight. The official report is that it happened in the first round. Norton always insisted it happened in the 11th. Others have speculated that it occurred in the second.
Ali trainer Angelo Dundee told reporters that he wanted to stop it in the second round.
“ … Ali wouldn’t let me,” Dundee said. “The commission doctor told me he had broken his jaw.”
Ali could take a punch. Tyson folded up like a tent vs. Buster Douglas and couldn't beat Holyfield.

This is fuking stupid lol. Lmao at showing people boxing highlights who know nothing about boxing and basing your opinion that Tyson wins off of that. Highlights are cherry picked as it is. What about their "lowlights"? What about their strategy, their subtle movements, volume punches, etc? What about their resume? The fighters they have fought? Overall toughness, grit, being able to turn things around when things aren't going so well.
Tyson has KO power, it looks more flashy and exciting but you're conflating that with him being the better fighter and being able to beat Ali.
brb showing somebody GSP highlights vs Robbie Lawler highlights and saying Robbie would beat GSP because he has the better highlights. fukn lol.positivity brah crew
