I quit drinking sodas about ten years ago. I've tasted them a couple of times since then and they all taste like syrup.

Don't miss them at all.

Day 17 and still going strong. I only crave for a soda when I see one but it's easily controllable. I don't really care for it when it's not around.

maybe im missing something but what are the negative effects of diet sodas? I drink at least 2 big gulps from 7/11 every day.. I also drink 2 gallons of water/day..

The same effects as regular soda.

The sugar substitute can mess you up(forgot where i read that) and the sugar in regular ones messes up your teeth and adds extra bad carbs.

I could give up soda but I don't want to. I sure could give it up easy though. All I need is gatorade.

lol I remember drinking like 3 ounces of Moutain Dew after not drinking ANY pop/soda for like 5 months. I seriously had a stomach ache and I didn't feel too good.

Every once in a while I'll have some Diet Pepsi or some diet soda, but I can't even take too much of that.

When I stopped drinking soda it got to where I couldn't stand the taste of it any more. After 3-4 months I had a Coke at a party because I was so thirsty and it tasted horrible to me. WAY too sweet and acidic. Good job quitting though. Soda is one of the worst things for you. You'll probably lose weigh too just from stopping.

Yeah, apparently the body "rejects" it. One big change I noticed is that I'm less stressed out about stuff now.

A. Cutting out Coke (not Diet Coke) will make a world of difference since you're cutting out a whole lot of carbs you will never need. Ideally, High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) is something nobody should ever consume in any quantity. Since you said you drink a lot of Coke, cutting it out will help you shed weight much faster.

B. Soda is definitely much more fattening than whole milk and provides no health benefits whatsoever.

C. I drink water. You can cut down to Diet Coke and then move on to eliminate it completely.

LOL...I'm working at it brah. I hope to never drink it again. I started by substituting soda with urine which didn't last long. The color put me off.

It's one of the best things you'll ever do. It's quit mind boggling how soda over all becomes addicting, specially when you start drinkin soda at a young age. But once you quit for a while, drinking soda won't be as good as it used to be.

Nah man. I usually drink lemonade at dinner time. Water throughout the day. When i go to restaurants, i may get a Sprite and a water with lemon.. Thats all.I go out to eat like once every 2 months too.
