Open Heart Surgery on May 26, 2012. My life goal is to educate and inspire other heart patients. Medical study for new heart patient drugs to start in January 2013. If you have a family history of heart disease please get your blood tested ASAP and your kids. It could save their life.

You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

Went for 140 lb db's on flat bench today. Haven't done these since before my shoulder dislo two years ago. Tons of room for improvement but felt pretty good for what it was.

@ 191.8 lbs. after today's shoulder, bi workout. Did some cmoore inspired 75 lb. dumb bell hammers for 8 each. Did 90 lbs. the set prior for 6 each but no pics, so it didn't happen.
My boy ChickenPauk hit a PR on deads but I'll let him tell you about that.

Good day for a not so motivated Friday - Got 375 deadlift today for my personal best. Previously, was at 350. No pics or vid - so I also get that it didn't happen I ran a several week program, so it was nice to boost it 25 pounds. Next goal is 400.
My hammers were only 75 for 5 reps, but I'm not ripped like my boy highiso and our other lifting partner behind him -- we'll call him tandycake! Some day, some day!!
I think what I'm happiest about this is I've been working on a slow cut while trying to learn the nutrition -- so increasing strength while dropping some weight is a good thing!!!
Also, it wasn't that long ago I tried my first deadlift and couldn't move right for a week or so due to weak back / bad form or whatever it was....and that was with 135 pounds. So, I dropped it to 95 to learn form and reps and been building up since. I think I tried my first deadlift in early April? Maybe late March....

I'm proud of you too! I am SO looking forward to doing that myself. It's not happening anytime soon. But it WILL happen.
^^^this^^^
I wouldn't call it EASY, at least not for me. But without tracking it's next to impossible.
Wow. Great job! I think I can roll those across the floor. Maybe.
Good job!! I'm totally awed by that pace of progress. I'm delighted if I can add 5 lbs a week. I'm gunning for 290 on Sunday.
Cool stuff! I saw someone snatching in real life for the first time last week. Not sure when I'll try it, but I am enjoying clean & jerks.Peace: Lift Long and Prosper!

Feeling great this week on my gains, but than I'm biased. LOLI'm open to any suggestions and have a difficult time accepting limitations without an honest effort on my part, you can count on that!

e
I think your feet should be farther apart and your toes pointed out so you're sitting down between your knees. That should take your knees out of the equation and you'll really be able to get the feel of driving the weight up by thusting your hips forward. Just my $.02."It doesn't matter what exercise you do, but man was made to move, to eat sparingly, to work hard and to screw as much as he can manage. Do all that, and you will look as good as your genes will let you, be content as the arseholes around you will allow, and maybe get a few screws. The particular virtues of weight training are in the discipline it brings to both mind and body, and, if you do it right, it will make you look good naked and do well what you got your clothes off to do." Nice work on the 230. I am not sure what your goals are overall but 5/3/1 has done wonders for my squats.
The muscle still seems to be there. You'll get back to where you were
Those are collecting dust in my gym. They are rolled in the same corner as when I joined my new gym a year ago. Impressive
Great pic. Nicely done
