Based on what I saw, I think simply he's out of gas and flat. 15 solid weeks and have hammered out a bunch of lifting and made strength gains and good progress. I think between the holidays, being sick and simply pounding it out, flat. We've got a few things to try and sort and after a couple of weeks, I anticipate Thad being back on track.
I made a mistake thinking that yesterday was a good idea after the grinding that was done on squats. That's my fault. I know Thad knew he could do it but, once I saw video, it was clear he's just out of gas right now, totally my fault.Squat: 1,040

I'm probably not going to pull from the floor next week. I've pulled for 10 weeks in a row so I'll take a break, regroup and come back.
Wade and I have emailed some today and we have some ideas going.
I'm frustrated but I'm not panicking.
EDIT: Wade beat me to itBetter Body Sports

The ebb and flow of a training cycle can take some pretty big turns. Many train 8-10 weeks and do a meet. We are asking alot by simply going week after week. We've had some testing but, it's a lot. We knew in the beginning, this was going to be a long process.

Sounds like it might be time for a few deload type sessions.
I am deloading for the next couple of months, gonna drop some pounds, and work on some unilateral strength to see if I can fix why I keep getting hurt all the time.★cVc★

Something that I think has helped me that may be appropriate here is pulling for reps. Wade, I see you have him pulling a lot of singles, which is great, but what would you think about even some lighter touch and go work? I have found that it is a way to get work in with a tired back.
But overall, yeah....the pulls looked lethargic in a sense. Very well may have came in from squat day. Rest and not testing two max singles in a week will help that.Strongman Training Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=138026593

A method we've used in the past I've discussed briefly...I'm going to lay out a months worth and get Thad's thoughts. We have a few ideas and mainly for the next couple of weeks, just pull back some. The progress has been good and strength is growing, form and fatigue stepped in and we will have to adjust. Reps could be a good marker for things to come as well.
