It's nowhere near that simple for some people. There's job, family (parents and others), friends, and if you are involved in the community. When parents get old you have to take care of them. Moving away from other family/friends sucks and then you have no one to talk to in person in new state. Depending on the line of work moving could hurt that too. Obviously if someone is part of a national company or something he can just transfer or get another position in a different state with low hassle. But if you own a business or are part of a small business that is predicated on awareness in an area then you're basically starting from the bottom again moving to a new area.
